Selected User Reviews For Haoge LMR-OM415 Lens Collar Replacement Foot Tripod Mount Ring for Olympus M.ZUIKO Digital ED 40-150mm F2.8 PRO Lens Built-in Arca Swiss Type Quick Release Plate

There is nothing wrong with this foot The plate was reversed and the clamping was Specifically bought this foot for use on the Arca-type base This was done because of the Swiss grooves and the possibility of the foot/plate being In his statement, Haoge implied that it could be done and after remounting it two more times I can say that it does indeed work
5/5

As a result, I can balance my lens + TC + camera body on my Wimberley Mono Gimbal with it in reverse. You cannot do this with the original tripod foot of an Olympus camera. It makes the CG of the lens directly over the If you would like to test this, sit the lens and body combo on a flat surface while on the Olympus tripod foot. This easy mod will enable the rig to sit level, meaning the CG will be It only takes a 3 mm Allen wrench to complete the installation. I did it in no time. A brief update The collar did not clamp tightly enough to keep the lens from rotating, according to some reviewers. Having proved that to be true, I found it to be As the clamping screw comes to a stop, the lens is still able to turn. Nevertheless, I was able to identify the source of the problem and resolve it. In my case, I wore the collar with a 40-pound dog I got a new 150 Pro today and found to my dismay that the knob on the collar hadn't stayed in place when tightened. There is still the possibility of it revolving. The author of one review on Amazon had mentioned this, but I hadn't noticed. A close examination of the collar was done after I removed it. At the location of the thumbscrew clamp in the collar, I discovered a washer that could not fully close the clamp when holding the collar down. In spite of my best efforts, I was unable to expand the gap all the way, so I unscrewed the thumbscrew a lot. The screw that got in the way can now be clipped on. You must clip off (careful, it will fly), so pay attention to where you clip off. My C was removed after I removed it Now that you have clipped, the clamp will shut all the way and the collar will tighten around The C is necessary, but without it You will need to watch the thumbscrew if it's loosened too far, because it can fall out. I have one more update for you The foot will interfere with the body of the Olympus EM1X if it is reversed, according to my friend. There is no room for the reversed foot to turn freely due to the protruding grip on the X. In spite of the fact that it will not balance as well on the Mono-gimbal, I put the foot in its original position facing forward. The good thing is that it is easy to put the foot in the position that works.

The majority of the time, it fits and works
3/5

The Arca-ready collar caught my eye, and I was excited to find it I use Swiss lenses for my Olympus E-M1 It consists of 1 mIII and Additionally, it works in the long run. The lock pins fit tightly to the Olympus lock pins after it slides on. Even though it is a bit heavier than the Olympus collar, it is still less so when you consider how much extra plate I had to add to their collar to use the Arca-style mount Foot of the Swiss. It just so happens that this collar and foot have about the same dimensions as the stock collar, which makes it much more convenient to use on a tripod with Arca-Swiss mounts It is a Swiss head. So what do the three stars mean? I lowered the score because you did not hold the lens firmly The lens can rotate at any time, even when the knob is tight, if I'm changing a lens or doing anything else that puts rotational pressure on it. You need to make sure it's Some of my lenses come with collars - I have a few dozen of them As soon as the camera is removed from the lens, they do not move. I took one away for being a bit wider than what the Arca-type requires The Swiss standard is set at There are some clamps where I find it very tight, when most other brands fit just fine, and the clamps themselves are strange shape. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, but neither of these problems should exist in a product this tailored to my needs.

Locks the lens in place but does not lock it
3/5

On the surface, the lens collar looks almost identical to the one from Olympus, but it has the grooves on the foot for attachment to an Arca-type camera mount Mounts on a tripod in the Swiss style. As they lined up, they were on the 40-foot bridge It is easy to handle 150 lens. There was a noise produced when rotating the collar around the lens. The rubbing of the inside collar material with the lens barrel caused the noise. In spite of turning the knob to lock it, it was not locked in I don't think this is the best thing to do. A solid hold on the lens is important to me. In order to loosen the lock knob, it took far more force than usual to do so. When the ring was properly designed and built, the lens would be held firmly in place by the lever when it was fully tightened. When the lock knob was loosed smoothly, the lens could easily be rotated. Despite weighing this collar, I am returning it. Since it weighs 4. 01 ounces, I have decided to return it. This is not something you will find in a pint size. A Really Right Stuff lens foot attached to the Olympus collar did not add more than five ounces to its weight. There are 5 ounces.

Rotates in place on the lens but does not rotate
3/5

Upon reading recent reviews I was delighted to read that the issue with collar tightness was resolved, so I decided to try it. I was nervous about the collar fitting onto the lens once it was aligned properly with the pins (scraping noises made me very nervous), and once it was on the lens it wouldn't rotate. In other words, it's a waste of time. To measure I used a set of digital calipers and the front-, rear-, and side-viewing instruments available to me Currently, the pins don't clear the front edge of the collar far enough for them to head into the rotation channel since the facing metal edge inside the collar is thicker than the OEM collar. It was not an option for me other than There appear to be some issues with quality control.

The replacement foot replaces the original in a very good way
5/5

The M. Sadly, we have a lot to deal with. Suiko is forty-one years old There are two aperture settings on the 150mm lens. A lens with a focal length of 8 While conventional adapters are easy to use, these are prone to twisting or misalignment. You can buy this lens collar with an Arca-compatible mounting system for about the same price as those 'bad solutions' Foot of the Swiss. I found it to be perfect for Regardless of the purchase, I am very satisfied with it. I was very pleased with how well the collar was Since this item is of such high quality, I shall have to look at other options by Haoge.

For those of you using the Oly 40, this is a great hack There are 150 frames per second
5/5

There's no reason to use an Arca Swiss Mount with 8 lenses. This is what I bought instead of a plate, and it cost less than the plate I was considering. It was quite straightforward to remove the old collar (with a pair of pliers) then put this new It took a little bit of time to line up the notches, but once everything was in place, it went on easily. A very sturdy construction. For those who intend to mount this particular lens to a tripod or monopod, it is a safer and more secure option. In my opinion, the original collar gave you some wiggle room between being too tight and too loose. That was easy to get used to and I actually liked doing This would be similar to a fluid tripod head's tension. As far as wiggle room is concerned, this replacement collar has none. There is no such thing as tight or loose clothing.
