A Haoge LF-07 arrived in the mail today A replacement foot was installed on the C14 There are some I've seen for almost three times as much money (RRS) that are as good as this product! My anvil is very sturdy, and I am very pleased with my purchase! You can see how it's mounted on my ProMaster gimbal in the photo. Long feet are about the same length as Canon's, and they have about 1/2 inch of extra length on the back of them. I would have preferred a longer foot, but I'm not sure why it would be necessary. The $35 price is great, especially since it was free shipping. It made it more difficult to prevent the tripod from twisting out of alignment when carrying the tripod over my shoulder since quick release plates attach to it. The original foot had only one screw, and I could not tighten it enough to prevent the heavy camera/lens from twisting out of alignment.
It fits perfectly and serves its purpose If you hold the lens by its foot, the edges are smooth as well. It is actually almost exactly the same product as the more than twice as expensive version it emulates, except that it does not have the quick disconnect socket that is becoming more prevalent.
This is what I put on the bottom of my Canon 100D I have used the 400 for over a year and it has served me well. It is definitely worth the money, and I would purchase.
I use this foot for a lot of heavy lenses and cameras because it makes carrying and using them simpler. I also received two Allen wrenches for my foot. To adjust the lens, you tighten the foot with the bigger of the two straps. The Allen wrench that was sent was the wrong size. The picture was too small. It was strange.
It does its job just fine, but the styling is not as good as what other highly expensive alternatives offer. The strap hole for carrying it gives it a nice, comfortable feel. This is a very sturdy and reliable watch.
My favorite part of it is the pictures. However, I haven't tried I've tried the expensive ones, so I am unsure what difference they would make.
The only thing I would change about it is the length. At least something like that was said by her.
