If you cut the foam up, I'm pretty sure it'll fit the OTA. The foam has already been conditioned. Cut exactly as shown in the picture, so it all depends on the scope's diameter and how much foam you want to change (cut out). I would suggest a Pelican case, model 1550, which I have for my older Meade ETX 90 and it fits perfectly; you can customize the foam and it is slightly larger than the Orion case. The Orion case has proven to be a great way to transport eyepieces and other small items to the field. I hope that this information is useful.
filters,. Eyepieces, filters, barlows, and eyepiece accessories like extensions and diagonals are all stored in this case. The case's measurements are required. Take a trip to the constellation Orion. For a case, go to the www.com website and call them directly.
This isn't a carrying case for a telescope. It's a carrying case for eyeglasses and other accessories. It can accommodate eyepieces with a diameter of up to 2" as well as small accessories like Barlow lenses, filters, and camera adapters. I hope this has been of assistance.

When filled with even a moderate amount of equipment, the foam insert isn't rigid enough to keep its shape. Please note the large gap at the box's bottom. Another Orion product, the massive body of the Orion 3, is responsible for the majority of the distortion. 0mm Edge- With enough gravitational force to cause anomalous distortions and warp the interior of the planet through the Planetary Eyepiece- a series of foam.
All of the accessories can be packed and carried with ease. My girlfriend and I looked like gypsies for a while after purchasing my telescope, going to stargazing locations with a bunch of bags and small boxes, then spreading everything out for access. I was able to fit everything from the Celestron eye piece kit into this case, including all of the (mostly useless) filters, as well as a couple of extra filters, the finder scope (which was a pleasant surprise), and the T-mount. I decided to include the hand controller, which fits neatly in the largest compartment, as well as the power cord that works with the power tank, in addition to the camera ring and adaptor. So it's really everything I require! Instead of things like a rocket blower and a red flashlight (which, by the way, fit in nicely too), I could probably put the prism in. Now I only have to carry this, along with the scope and tripod in their own bag, as well as a power tank. It's nice and sturdy, as stylish as one of these things can be, and it functions admirably. I couldn't be more pleased.
There was a lot of room, far more than I expected. Despite its light weight, the case appears to be quite sturdy. br>Plenty of depth, to the point where, after removing the foam plugs for my shorter eyepieces, I had to cut the plugs and re-insert a portion of each back into its hole, or the eyepieces would disappear into the opening. br>The 2" holes worked well with my thicker eyepieces, such as the zoom and the Barlow/T-Scope. adapter. br>Several large rectangular "trays" of various sizes, only one of which holds my many (6) filtersbr>Plenty of padding on the lid. Any decent kitchen knife will easily cut/trim foam as needed. br>br>This will most likely serve all of my lens and accessory needs for a long time. Until then, it houses my hand controller and bracket, a red LED flashlight, a green laser pointer, and a few spare batteries, with plenty of room left over. br>br>At first, I gave it four stars because I didn't need the locks or the carrying strap. However, in a household with children, this, as well as the strap, may be required, and the metal lid hasps (fasteners) are far superior to the common plastic squeeze until it snaps variety. br>As a result, I give it a five-star rating.
br>br>It has a lot of padding on the inside, and all of the storage spots are labeled. So just pull out what you need to get your eyepieces to fit. br>br>I have an extensive collection of eyepieces, diagonals, filters, and spotting scopes. bracket. br>They all fit in nicely and are well protected inside. br>br>This is a tough case, but not the toughest; it's made of aluminum, but the top and bottom sides are made of a hard plastic that gives a little. So, while this case isn't crush proof, it's still a good one! br>br>I was thinking about this (Large) case as well as the Orion medium case. br>I wasn't sure which one would be best for my needs. br>However, I'm glad I went with the large one because the medium wouldn't have fit all of my belongings. br>br>The cost is a little high, but I couldn't find a better alternative. br>I would strongly advise anyone considering this case to do so!.
I've owned two other Orion eyepiece cases, both of which were well-made and survived a truck accident with no damage to my eyepieces. In comparison to the old ones, this one is a flimsy piece of junk. It appears to be made of cardboard that has been coated. I can't believe the price they're asking for such a shoddy case. Orion is usually a great company with great products, but this is an unfortunate exception and a source of embarrassment for the company. Although eyepiece cases are difficult to come by, I do not recommend wasting your money on them.
It holds everything I need for my telescope right now. Pros: Eyepieces, filters, a barlow, and even a laser collimator can all be stored in the box. There's plenty of room for expansion, at least in my setup. The price is reasonable. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The building itself is fine. If that's an issue for you, it's not weatherproof. I can see a side panel cracking if the case is dropped because the plastic is thin. However, the padding is secure, and I doubt anything inside would be harmed even if that were to happen. It works fine for me, and I always have a couple of large garbage bags on hand in the field to keep things protected and dry if necessary.
This eyepiece case is great! It holds all of my eyepieces as well as a few other odds and ends. It's well-made and durable. It's a lot bigger than I expected! I just placed an order for a new telescope, so I may require another. Thanks!.
This is a fantastic situation to be in. It accommodates nearly everything I require for a night of imaging or visual observation. I wish the foam was a little more durable; as you can see in my photo, it deflects easily, but not to the point where I would deduct a star. It's also not very strong, so I wouldn't recommend taking it on a plane unless you put it in a suitcase, but remember, this is an Orion case, not a Pelican.
