That's correct.
I bought it a year ago, so I'm not sure if I remember everything, but it comes with a good hard shell carrying case that I keep in my trunk. Suction cups adhere to the windshield, and a 12v adapter plugs into the car's cigarette lighter power source. Do you recall automobile cigarette lighters? When used in conjunction with the Waze app, it performs admirably on the highway. It's unplugged when driving in town because it'll go off at every traffic light, red light camera (which has a warning on the radar detector, which is cool), and school zone speed sign. However, it was a good purchase. It has come in handy on several occasions.
There are no batteries required! It connects to your cigarette lighter via a cigarette lighter adapter.

The only reason I gave this item one star is because I bought a factory reconditioned detector that "looks new and works like new. " br>Needless to say, it looked as if it had been dragged down the road by a car, and it continued to alarm even on old country roads.
Although the suction power is average, I don't mind because I use magnetic mounts. The radar is amazing and is accurate 99% of the time. This is the most money I have ever spent on a radar but it has been worth it so far. Consider how much money you've wasted on ineffective radars in the past. This is Uniden's best detector, and believe me when I say that I previously owned the R3, which is a joke in comparison. This detector can be found in the PH. The D level of radars, as well as their ease of use, are fantastic. Additionally, the website allows for updates, ensuring that you always have the most up-to-date information or technology. Remember, if you use the Waze app, you'll be able to see everything. I'm aware that escort offers escort live, which is excellent, but it is not free. The only negative aspect of this radar that I can think of is its size. It is neither small nor large. Uniden created an excellent product, and I intend to keep it for many years.
I still need to tweak a few settings, but I'm impressed so far. It takes the place of a Uniden DFR7 that I previously owned. Make sure it's connected to your computer, and that you've downloaded and installed the most recent updates (firmware and database).
I didn't realize it had been refinished when I purchased it from this seller. Having previously owned a brand new one, I noticed that key components such as the power lighter port with built-in mute and the USB port were missing. You'll be plagued by irritating beeps if you don't have it. Someone replaced the original Uniden lighter port with a standard lighter port. Worst of all, it appears that they did it on purpose after realizing it was missing, so BEWARE OF BUYERS. I would not have known if I hadn't purchased a new one first. There is only a $30 difference in price between this and new. Pssh.
You've already been reimbursed! It was equipped with the most up-to-date technology. It's now just another feature of my vehicle, thanks to the most up-to-date firmware and the hardwire kit; top- High-quality radar with a sleek mounting that runs on switched power from the vehicle. br>br>With the exception of the mute button that came with the Uniden hardwire kit, I never have to touch it. Other than the nightrider style scanner during the day and a teenytiny moving dot in the evening, the unit can be customized to the point where the only time we see or hear anything from it is when you really need it. br>br>Every piece of mounting and suction hardware that comes with it is top-notch. I really like the unit. In the Uniden family now, there are five of my friends; So, what do you have to lose?.
My ten-year-old radar detector needed to be replaced, and after 30 days of research, I was left with only two choices. The Escort 360c maximum and the Uniden R7 The pricing (especially the R7 refurb option) was the deciding factor because both options had advantages and disadvantages. The unit arrived in a timely manner and appeared to be in excellent condition. With a new web-based application, it's fairly simple to set up and upgrade. I tried out the Uniden firmware update tool they just released on their support site last week on a trip from San Jose to Las Vegas, and it caught a couple of Ka-band signals. a band of police traps on the I5 highway with at least a 20-mile radius Warning for 30 seconds. I was blown away by the precision and range. However, because there are a lot of K band false alarms, I decided to turn up the K band filter (no police use K band anymore), which helped "quiet" the false alarm significantly. If a Ka- When the band Alarm goes off, you will most of the time see a police radar trap! My friends, it pays for itself.
I came across this one while looking for a replacement for my old Valentine One. I purchased three R7s for each of my Porsches because it exceeded my expectations in terms of versatility and range. I don't have to keep the phone app open all the time to use its features, such as the new V1, and updating the firmware is a breeze. V1 is already hardwired in two of my Porsches, and it functions flawlessly with the R7.
The most advanced radar available. I'm able to detect radar at a distance of over 2. It has more than paid for itself after only 5 miles in the city. This guy with a led foot strongly recommends it.
