Product Description

A RANGE THAT HAS BEEN BY NO MEANS EXCEEDED
DUAL ANTENNAS WITH DIRECTIONAL ARROWS - allows the R7 to detect threats from all four directions, providing 360° protection. Arrows indicate the threat's direction, and the band is also displayed. Perfect has gotten even better!
GPS TECHNOLOGY - Using GPS, the R7 can remember and muffle common false alerts (such as retail store automatic doors) along your regularly driven routes, ensuring that you never hear the same false alert twice.
RED LIGHT AND SPEED CAMERA ALERTS - Your detector will never be out of date with preloaded Red Light and Speed Camera locations, as well as free database and firmware updates.
LARGE MULTI-COLOR OLED DISPLAY - is easy to read and allows for the display of more useful information at once, including up to four signals at the same time. Your overall situational awareness will improve as a result of this.
VOICE ALERT - Voice alerts enable hands-free operation and clear communication. Voice Alerts can be customized to suit your driving style, allowing you to focus solely on the road.

M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M. M Scott. You have no idea what you're referring to. Since the 1970s, I've used a radar detector. It's been 40 years since then. As the police's equipment has improved, they've gotten better and better. I've upgraded my equipment several times, and as a traveling sales professional, I can safely say that I average 40,000 miles per year, and my detector has saved me far too many times to count. The townships make a lot of money off of unsuspecting motorists who drive 35 mph in a 25 mph zone. LIDAR is tricky, and if you don't want to get a ticket, make sure you have a scout up ahead so that when they are hit with laser, you get the alert and react. Now, the idiots at the FCC have allowed car manufacturers to build cars with Blind Spot Monitoring using low-level radar signals spewing from the bumpers of their cars, driving older detectors insane. So it's time to start over with a new one that includes BSM filtering. Stay up to date and you won t pay a $350 ticket and your insurance won t go up 20% for the next 39 months.

Escort Max 360 might be a better option
5/5

First and foremost, Scott's scam review should be deleted because he has no idea what he is talking about! br>Mounted in 2017 Golf R, received R7 April 18 and have been using since then, replacing an Escort Max 360 that I loved.
I- WSP is hammering 5 in Fife Washington in order to slow everyone down to 50, and we've had 5-minute delays so far. For the past two weeks, I've been doing 6 bogeys every morning at 4 a. m. Scott, I've been woken up every morning by three members of the KA band. WSP does not use laser in cars, but motorcycle cops do almost all of the time, so keep an eye out for them on your way home. Set cruise control to 50 miles per hour through the Fife area 1 mile before or after, and never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, I've been paced from behind twice in this area in the last two weeks, and one cop had his radar on and caught him early with the rear radar as he nailed the truck behind me doing 70 coming up on me doing 65. I was getting close, but I knew he'd come back, so I slowed down from 75 mph just a minute before. One day, I was hit by a laser with my R7, but luckily, I had adaptive cruise set to 65 and no hit on the detector, but I did see a cop point a gun at me and switch to others behind me, so be cautious with laser detection. br>KA is about the same as Max 360 so far, but K band is far superior with R7 and people will tell you there is no K band really in WA, but so far three hits from WSP and one in Kent Wa with all cops with radar on full time and picking them up, I thought they were all Hondas or GMCs, but nope. So far, Falsing has been about the same as Max 360. A new software update has helped a little with Hondas, but a trip to Oregon this weekend will still pick them up if they are close enough. br>Took a trip to Oregon on Thursday, which was mostly quiet, especially in Oregon, which was creepy because I drove 200 miles without seeing a cop and even drove all the way around Mount Hood without seeing anything! There aren't any cops? I may or may not have hit 120 mph once or twice, but I had a good time and hope there are no hidden cameras like in Oregon, because the locals drive fast. br>Now on the way back to WA, about 7 a. m. , just past Vancouver WA, I got a K band from the rear in and out with no one behind for about a mile, just a small pack following a pack I was in doing 75. My first thought was that it was a false alarm from a car or something, but the detector didn't stop beeping and it was getting louder, so my spidey sense told me something wasn't quite right, so I lowered the cruise to 70. Finally, a car with led lights came through the pack from behind; I had no idea what it was, and I was losing the pack I was in because I reduced my speed to 5 mph just to be safe. Guess what a WSP dark grey Dodge went full K band at a mile back once his pack cleared and he went into the slow lane and caught me in a few seconds Wife was impressed that the detector had him about 5 minutes earlier, and we agreed that the detector had already paid for itself because we were going so much faster before! br>Had another rear encounter going N at Chehalis WA and picked it up early with full on K band going from a 70mph zone to a 60mph zone, so set cruise to 60 after the last encounter. Guess what another silver Dodge WSP is doing at around 80 mph, looking for in front speeders, f - jerks! Once again, my wife was keeping a close eye on the detector and was astounded at how early the R7 was alerting us on the K band. br>Sorry for the long review, but Scott You Are Wrong! In just two weeks, the R7 likely saved me from a couple of tickets that would have cost me a little more. br>The Max 360 is great, and I like some of its features, but its K band range isn't as good as the R7's, and I believe it's over filtered; K band is still out there, guys!br>Arrows are a must; I've had several detectors without them, and I'll never go back. br>The R7 shifts from front to side to rear faster than the Max 360, but this isn't a deal breaker. So far, the R7 has impressed me! br>I need more time with the R7, but Max 360 has saved me at least 10 times in the last year, with the exception of one ticket on Lidar, which was my fault because I didn't react quickly enough; it actually gave me enough time, but I was too preoccupied with ignoring it. br>Thanks to Vortex, but be wary of band segmentation; I had several readings on both bands that were outside of segmentation, and I don't want to go to court to dispute these readings. Just to be safe, I run wide on all K and KA bands, and the R7 still has a lot of range. br>There have been a lot of K and KA over the last year, so don't believe Scott when he says that lazy cops use RADAR instead of Lidar! Oh, and the County Cops in the oncoming lanes almost always have their RADAR turned on! br>Good luck, and if you don't have a RADAR detector, don't exceed the speed limit by more than 5 miles per hour or you'll get a ticket!.

Is it any good compared to the R3? I already own an R3 and purchased this R7 as a backup vehicle
5/5

What this has that the R3 doesn't: br>br>What this has that the R3 doesn't:
- The signal's origin is indicated by directional arrows.
- Make the device ignore false positives by training it to do so.
- Autolockouts based on GPS. br> The driver's view was skewed by the device.
- A wider detection range is possible. br>br>For my needs, it's superior to the R3 and well worth the extra money; the directional arrows alone make it so much better because I'm no longer looking around for the cop. The R3 remains a fantastic device; this is simply the next step in the evolution of technology. And it's a worthwhile upgrade, unlike when an iPhone is released and the differences are barely discernible!.

The best radar of them all
5/5

This r7 was discovered while watching Vortex Radar on YouTube. It's fantastic; it contains all of the features I was looking for. Here's the mount: I'm using Chargecity to velcro to it, and it doesn't slide, whereas mounting on the window usually does. I can always put it out of the sun and hide it, as shown in the photo. Even though the price is high, a clock from fiveO will undoubtedly pay for itself. Despite the fact that I am not a racer, I want to be prepared.

This radar detector is a beast
5/5

The range on this detector is insane, I've never had a cheaper radar detector to compare it to, but you have a huge window of time to slow down I love this thing driving feels like I'm in a fighter jet avoiding incoming missiles from the peasant army also in the youtube videos of this detector I saw it only came with the basic 2 suction cup mount when mine arrived it came with that mount and a much nicer large single suction cup mount it also came with a power adapt.
