if you know how to run a multi-level marketing campaign To find your power and ground wires at the mirror connector, use a meter. It took some trial and error to find the right size pin for the mirror plug, but once in, it appears to be secure. The only drawback is that the RJ11 connector is a little too big for my Escort 360c, which makes it a tight fit. There's not much of the plug sticking out of the detector, and it's difficult to get a good grip on it without grabbing the delicate wires as well. I glued a zip tie to the RJ11 connector with a small amount of super glue after installing it close to the connector. When I need to move the detector to another vehicle, it gives me a little more room to grab and wiggle the connector out. This was installed in a Ford Edge 2007 model.

For a 2015 Subaru BRZ, the plug portion that connects to the mirror is too big. To make it fit, I needed to grind it down. Even so, I'm having trouble with it losing contact if I touch it by accident. I also dislike how far they protrude from the rearview mirror, as this interferes with the radar detector mirror mount. To clear the mount, I had to bend them at a 60-degree angle. I discovered a new way to connect them using the dome light connection, but the cable is about 3 inches too short to reach. My plan, in all honesty, is to cut the cable, add extension cable, and tap into the dome light connection. I understand that if the connectors fit and clear the mount, this cable may not cause any problems in another vehicle.

The quality of this wire tap is excellent, comparable to, if not superior to, that of Escort. This kit came with everything you'll need to put it together. Two small cable ties, as well as positive and negative fine tip taps, and even directions! This was a must for me in order to avoid having to unplug and re-plug the original supplied cord on a daily basis. As you can see in the photos, I use a sun blocker, and the cord was just too long to maneuver everything around, so I would occasionally knock my radar off the dash/mount because the cord got caught. This radar wasn't cheap, and installing it was a pain. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS NOT ONLY TO CLEAN YOUR WINDOWS, BUT ALSO TO KEEP YOUR RADAR SAFE!.

Over the years, I've had several of these. They appear to be of low quality. The plastic clip on the last one was fragile, and it broke while inside the unit. br>br>Where the wires connect to the plastic housing, this one feels a lot better.

I tried two times to make this work and broke two tips both times. The small tips are still too big of a gauge for the mirror plug on my 2013 Outback. When trying to insert the red wire smaller gauge tip from my first order into the back of the plug, I snapped the tip. I ordered a second one, assuming I had pushed it too far, but the problem persisted. br>br>I'm not knocking the product's quality; it was simply a waste of money for me.

It is dependent on the vehicle. It has a very tidy appearance. I was going to hire someone to install it, but I changed my mind and decided to do it myself. It's just a matter of finding the right cables to connect to. I suppose the degree of difficulty would be determined by the vehicle. It was on a 14 Cadillac XTS that I used it on. It took me a while to find the correct cables, but once I did, the radar detector looks much cleaner. There are no wires dangling from the ceiling.

I strongly advise everyone to purchase it, as you will thoroughly enjoy it. The look is cleaner now that the cigarette adapter is no longer in use.
