Uniden R3 looks great with a clean professional look
5/5

Uniden R3 is an excellent match. br>br>Installation in a 2017 Toyota Camry is simple and straightforward. Using a thin pry, remove the plastic plate above the mirror from the top edges as well. The top of the plastic plate is removed. Remove the connector from the wiring harness. Start the vehicle and check the 12V and ground wires with a multimeter. You have the leads reversed if your multimeter displays a negative number. The black wire in my Camry was hot, while the brown was grounded. Work the power cord leads into the harness with gentle pressure. Mine was a little stiff at first, but with a little gentle work, it will go in completely and securely. Snap the plastic plate back into place after reconnecting the harness to the connector.

The Kia Stinger GT is a sports car that has been designed by Kia
3/5

Wire was of good quality, but the pins were not thin enough. I chose to use the rearview mirror for my installation because I had done so successfully before on an Infiniti G37. This wire is of excellent quality, and I am confident in its durability. However, neither of the two sets of pins were thin enough to tap into the wiring harness of my Kia Stinger GT's mirror. I ended up using some wire cutters to cut the tips of the thinner pins that came with the wire down to a very sharp and narrow point, then sanding off the rough edges. It took a lot longer to install, but I managed to get it to work. The seller should either include some thinner pins as an attachment or create a wire that includes them.

Without grinding, it will fit a 2015 Chevy Silverado
5/5

I was skeptical that my installation would be any different after reading some of the reviews here claiming that the leads didn't fit many cars. The wire's leads, on the other hand, fit perfectly and without grinding into the mirror harness of my 2015 Chevy Silverado. br>br>Because I didn't have a test light, I decided to take a chance and go with the obvious: I plugged in my older radar detector (Valentine One) as a sacrificial lamb by connecting the red lead to the red wire's port and the black lead to the black wire's port (of the eight colored wires on the plug). I plugged in my new Uniden R3 and it powered up without a hitch. br>br>Very happy with this as a switched power option instead of having to run a 10 foot RJ11 cable around the windshield and behind the dash.

Uniden R3 was able to use this method
5/5

Don't use the extra smaller plug that comes with the kit. in wires. Just make do with what you've got. Designed for the Audi S4 B8. 5. The power wire that was provided worked perfectly - simple to understand - Simply peel back the top of the rearview mirror plastic cover, then use white and black wire for positive, followed by brown wire next to it. The white and red should be avoided. br>br>All right, I hope that was of assistance.

Doesn't work with Subarus from the fifth generation - Don't take the answers at face value! These were ordered in twos for two Subaru Outbacks
3/5

When a customer inquired if they were compatible with the 2018 Outback, someone responded, "If the mirror was powered. " Most Subaru mirrors are powered, but in 2017, the factory removed the connector on the back of the mirror and replaced it with a hard wire, so anyone with a later model Subaru is out of luck. If you remove the sunglass / dome light assembly (gently pull it from the front), there is an easy source of power to tap into; however, this power tap is TOO SHORT to be useful. br>br>Because there is no longer a connector on the mirror, I'm guessing that anyone with a Subaru after 2016 will have the same issue. I'm not sure if the Eyesight models have connectors, but I can attest to the fact that they don't have them. Those who have poor vision don't have this problem. Instead of returning it, I decided to extend the Mirror Tap wiring. It was a complete waste of time. especially given the fragility and small size of the wires - But I was able to make it work by connecting it to the headliner's mirror connector. For what it is, this product is WAY overpriced. I'd be surprised if there's $1 worth of materials and labor in this. Don't always believe what people say because they aren't always correct.

What took me so long to get this? I have a Uniden R3 and the supplied cord broke, so I decided to give this a try, and it works great
5/5

It's super simple to set up (no splicing wires required), it works great, and there's no cord to tangle with. For my other vehicle, I placed a second order. In my opinion, it is well worth it. br>br>03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03-03- I ordered another one for my 2013 Camaro ZL1, and it's just as good as the one I had on my 06 TB SS. Once again, it's well worth the money and results in a nice, clean, wireless appearance.

On a 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL, this item was installed
5/5

On my Buick, it was a breeze to install. My RVM has OnStar, so make sure you have a multimeter on hand to figure out ground and hot wire. It only took me ten minutes, but I wanted to take my time and make sure I got everything right. right! Because the holes on the power adapter are small, the pack comes with smaller leads, which is a plus. br>Be careful not to force the leads because they are thin and can bend or break. Just make sure the leads are securely in place, and you'll be fine. There are two zip ties included in the package. One was all I needed! For my Uniden R3, I have a nice clean install Power Cord.

Use a meter to ensure that this is connected to the correct wires
5/5

My car is a Lexus GS350 from 2013. It took some time for me to properly install this. It wasn't until I finally found something on the internet that mentioned using the pink and white wires (I believe it was pink and green, but I'm sorry I forgot and didn't take it apart) to connect the wires to the rain sensor that I realized what I needed to do. br>br>It works really well, and I'm pleased with how it turned out. Just be careful with the small prongs you use to stick into the vehicle's connector; if you use too much force, the prong may break. I'll come back and add more details later.
