Selected User Reviews For Radar Mount Mirror Mount Radar Detector Bracket for Escort IX EX Max360C (3001007)

After the upgrade, this bracket is functional
5/5

This is a fantastic mount, but the included screws can't be tightened all the way and easily strip, causing the radar detector to hang down as I drive. Once you've purchased it, simply drill 1/4 inch holes and purchase nuts and bolts with lock washers. This way, it won't strip as easily! Overall, I like the bracket now that it has been upgraded and no longer falls down! Because of this manufacturing flaw, the price of this bracket should be lower!.

Epic Error
3/5

The Max 360c is what I've got. I removed my mirror from my workbench in order to install this mount. Everything was fine until I put the detector on the mount, which caused it to drop to about a 45-degree angle due to the weight of the detector. "That's odd," I thought, "I swear I tightened those wing nuts down sufficiently. " "br>br>I'm sorry, but that's incorrect. There's no way to make the detector stay up no matter how tight you tighten it. Continue to pull the threads tighter and tighter until they are stripped out - both on the screw and on the side holes br>br>Idea was good, but execution was shoddy. I wish I hadn't waited so long to get my money back. GARBAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY. br>br>.

It's difficult to mount
3/5

The mounting rubber bands aren't very strong. One of them broke while I was trying to install it on my Ford F-150. Mirror number 150. I bought three of them in total. for my two vehicles, as well as one for my Lady's Mercedes ML350. The rubber band mountings had no chance of fitting the Mercedes mirror in any way. They were simply too short, and having had one break on my F-150, I knew what I was getting myself into. Stretching them for the Mercedes at 150, I sensed a break was on the way. br>br>The camera is probably good, but I completely squandered my money due to the inability to mount the cameras due to the bands breaking.

finger screws that aren't up to snuff Very disappointed mounted to mirror fine but tightening finger nuts neither tightened enough to hold detector straight, so I used Allen wrench and the bolt on the top stripped, then the Allen wrench on the bottom one stripped, so I ended up drilling both out and placing small bolts through to tighten bracket enough to hold straight, hoping it stays very disappointed

The quality is adequate, but the price is not particularly attractive
3/5

For what you get, the price appears to be a little high. Here's how it works. When compared to the so-called Blendmount, with a price tag of nearly $40, appears to be a good deal. And if it came in a package with both the radar mirror mount and the wiring harness plug-in cable for hard-wiring your mirror mount to the car's 12v power supply, it would be well worth $40-$50. $50. However, as is, this thing is effective, but it could be more polished. If you don't use a thin layer of plastic to protect your mirror stalk, for example, the mounting bracket will scratch it. However, no mention of this is made in the instructions. Other manufacturers (Blendmount, perhaps?) may also be involved. ) come with a thin layer of polyurethane tape to protect the paint on your mirror OR have rubberized bracket teeth. br>br>A set of longer screws was thoughtfully included, but because they weren't mentioned in the instructions, I forgot about them and used the shorter ones instead, despite the fact that the longer ones would have been better suited to the job. br>br>Overall, this item performs as expected, and I would recommend it to a friend, but be aware of the caveats and the fact that the instructions could be improved.

It's been a few months since I've used it, and it's good but not great
3/5

First and foremost, this company provides excellent customer service; however, the product is not up to par. Let's face it, if you're considering this product because you're looking for a cheaper alternative to those that cost two or three times as much, you should be aware that you'll be getting a product that isn't as good as those that cost twice as much. br>Here's how the issues were resolved:br>I ordered the product, and it was very simple to install once I determined the correct bolt size; I did not fully tighten the thumb screws so that I could drive with it and determine the best position for my vehicle (Lexus IS350). The product moved a lot at this torque, which was what I expected. However, when I attempted to secure it in the desired position, the threads on the bracked stripped, effectively leaving a critical joint exposed. I'm sure a little threadlocker would have held the thumb screw in place better, but I wouldn't be able to adjust it in the future. br>I inquired about a replacement bracket piece with the company. They were courteous and prompt, and I received the replacement within a short period of time. But, because I didn't want to repeat the problem, I used less torque this time. As a result, nothing is stripped, but the bracket needs to be adjusted on a regular basis. br>Now you know what the problem is and how to avoid it. If you don't mind making minor adjustments to your unit from time to time, go ahead. Spend a little more money if you want high quality that, I assume, is free of the same problems.

With this mount, I just drove 900 miles
5/5

This is fantastic! Before making a purchase, I read the customer reviews. I noticed a few that said the mount wouldn't tighten up and stay in place. That has not been a problem for me. The adjustment screws, according to some, would strip out. That was also not an issue for me. I just got back from a 12-hour road trip that included some sightseeing. Driving in the city The mount has performed admirably. It remains in the same location as I placed it. I couldn't be more pleased!.
