It isn't compatible with the Gen 2 model. I pushed, squeezed, and tried much harder than I should have to get it on, and the provided bracket would not fit. br>br>Solution: Remove the suction cups from the mount that the V1G2 comes with *pictured* and screw it right into the mount. Voila, the Gen2 now fits. br>br>Tag: br>br> Valentine1 G2, Valentine1 G2, Valentine1 Gen2, Valentine1 Gen2, Valentine1 Gen 2, Valentine1 Gen 2, Valentine1 Gen 2, Valentine1 Gen 2, Valentine1 Gen 2, Valentine1 Gen 2, Valentine1 Gen 2, V1G2, V1G2, Gen 2, Gen2.
A 2006 Honda S2000 Type S was fitted with this setup. The V1 Gen 2 is the pinnacle of technology, offering incredible range, sensitivity, and filtering capabilities. It does not, however, support GPS. The RadarMount secures the V1 Gen 2 in place and allows it to be positioned perfectly beneath the rearview mirror thanks to its multiple degrees of freedom. The components (e. g. , , as well as the adjustable bracket, retention clip, and fasteners) are of excellent quality - Nothing to be afraid of when it comes to stripping. The packaging is beautiful, and the instructions are clear and easy to follow - There are no agrammatical notes or blurry pictures, which are common in many similar Made in China items! The price is a little high in my opinion, considering that a few screws, some small pieces of metal, and plastic thumb screws should not cost around $35, but for the quality workmanship, it's OK to pay a little more for a better overall product. I highly recommend the RadarMount for the V1 Gen 2 because it is far superior to unreliable suction cup holders that eventually loosen, sun visor clips that are frequently inaccessible, and dash-mounted radar detectors. mounted systems that clog up the interior of the vehicle and are frequently prevented from detecting faint signals by the windshield wipers. Please keep in mind that the included cradle or retention clip is only for the Valentine1 and not for the V1 Gen 2. Instead, you'll have to rely on the V1 Gen 2's retention clip. This isn't stated in the instructions, but if you dig deep enough into the Q, you'll find it. There is a section. This will make it more difficult to use the V1 Gen 2 in multiple vehicles. As a result of the lower overall rating, a V1 Gen 2 specific clip should have been included, offered as a free upgrade, or sold at a slightly lower price.
The LPN RR tag was the first thing that caught my eye. This indicates that it was previously bought and returned. Because the return tag completely covers the normal inventory bar code, whoever placed it in the envelope to send it to me had to have done so manually and deliberately, bypassing any automated scanning systems. The mount was completely disassembled and missing a number of pieces when it was first opened. The pieces that were present had clearly been put to a lot of use. br>br>- The thumbscrew threads had a lot of wear on them.
- Gouges and flat spots were visible on the flex mount balls.
- The allen screws, for the most part, were missing.
- The radar detector bracket's mounting plate had been lost.
- A soft, sticky gray material had been used to line the jaws that would clamp around the mirror.
- Plastic tubes were wrapped around the clamp's screws, presumably to protect the mirror from thread contact. br>br>The item itself appears to be of good quality. It's important to note that AMAZON, not the manufacturer, received this rating.
Don't squander your cash on a $100. This mount is incredible. Don't spend $100 on a mount that performs the same function as a $35 mount. I had no problems installing it in my 2017 Dodge Charger. Because the included factory suctioncup mount would fall off the windshield in Texas when it got hot, I decided to get an under mirror mount. br>br>I've had this mount for about a week and it hasn't dropped or moved in any way. Even if there was some loosening, I'm sure a little loctite would take care of it. br>br>I'm very pleased with this mount and would recommend it to anyone who is interested.
I bought these radar mounts for three different cars, each with a different make and model. Two of the three were a perfect match for the stock mounts. Because of the length of the mount, one of them (pictured) did not fit. br>br>When I contacted the seller (John), he quickly recognized the problem and offered me a free replacement articulation, which he promptly sent. I arrived from Las Vegas in a matter of days,br>br>Another important piece of information I'd like to share: br>There are four screws in the radar mount product pictures to the radar cradle. This is for the package RadarMount that was sent before October 10, 2020. You must use your v1gen2 window mount (without the suction cups) and screw the cradle to the RadarMount showing the two "other holes" on the product picture showing the four screw holes to the cradle up until October 2020. br>br>If you plan to purchase the radar mount after October 2020, please be aware that the radar mount only comes with two holes for 'their' radar mount cradle, which can universally hold both gen1 and gen2 (unlike the Valentine1 cradles and RadarMount's pre-gen2) (unlike the Valentine1 cradles and RadarMount's pre-gen2) (unlike the Valentine1 cradles cradles for the year 2020). br>br>I can confirm that the RadarMount's cradle included in this package is capable of holding both v1gen1 and v1gen2 radars. The image with two cradles is as follows: br>br> The RadarMount cradle, which can universally fit both gen1 and gen2 (if purchased after October 2020), is at the top. The bottom cradle is from a Valentine1 window mount for gen2-compatible devices. The screw holes on the RadarMount are wider than the screw holes on the RadarMount, as you can see. br>br>These were the two cars that this mount fit without any extra hardware: The car that required extra articulation was: br>1999 BMW 3 seriesbr>2013 Subaru Outbackbr>br>The car that required extra articulation was: br>1999 BMW 3 seriesbr>2013 Subaru Outbackbr>br> RSX (Acura) RSX (Acura) RSX (Acura) RSX (A.
