That's correct.
The cord should work if it accepts an old-fashioned phone plug. This is an rj11 plug and cable.
I would have said RadioShack, but they go out of business from time to time. If you go to the battery and lightbulb stores, they may have it, or you could try Best Buy.

I received a short coiled cord rather than a 10' straight one, which was completely incorrect. It's even labeled incorrectly. br>br>Got a new one after returning. The second is identical to the first. It's not correct to list.
I tried the other coiled one, but I wish I had returned it to the window because it only had two tiny nibs to keep it in place, and it would fall out whenever I accelerated. I'd sell it on my website, but I'd have to explain why and how much I despise it, so I might just throw it away. This one is incredible! br>br> It has more surface area on the little spring loaded pins, so it fits your vehicle snugly, feels solid, and I can hang my bluetooth earpiece on it without it falling out. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> The rating has been reduced to two stars. The USB ports on this aren't very powerful, and my iPhone's wireless magmount charger keeps turning on and off. I was initially concerned that something was wrong with it, and I still wish I could return it.
Because this adapter is shorter than most, it's the only one I've found that fits in the awkward gap between my Tesla Model 3's 12v power source and the center console tray. br>br>Anyone having trouble finding something that fits will understand the image. br>br>Of course, if you want to use the console tray, you can't use the USB ports, but I don't mind because there are already four 5V USB ports in the car.
I wouldn't drive without my Valentine One radar detector, but nowadays there are never enough outlets to meet all of the charging needs of that, multiple cell phones, and so on. This neatly solves that problem by providing the RJ11 plug that the Valentine uses as well as another USB outlet for something else. Valentine should be making and selling this, so the supplier tapped into a useful market.
This is what I use with my Uniden R3. I was driving myself crazy with the coiled adapter that came with the unit, especially when I tried to mount it to my rearview mirror. The cable length was ideal for running inside the headliner, down the passenger door weather stripping, back under the passenger seat, and into the center console plug in my Honda Fit. The device starts up and continues to work. There were no issues with the plug's springs. The plug will not fall out. If necessary, I'll update the review, but for now, I prefer this power cable to the one that came with the unit.
As stated in the title, it works flawlessly with my Uniden R3 when connected to a split cigarette hub. I'm blown away.
For several years, I've had the same Beltronics radar detector, which is still in perfect working order. Even newer radar detectors use cords with a modular phone jack plugged into the unit and a cigarette lighter plug on the other end, which surprised me. Because the "cigarette lighter" outlet in my new vehicle is in the console between the front seats rather than in the dashboard, the original coiled cord was too short; this cord is not coiled, is long, and is as thin as a standard USB cord.
It was a perfect match for my Uniden R3. Given that my vehicle's outlet isn't where a cigarette lighter would have been back in the day, but rather in the center console storage compartment, the wire that came with the detector, a 6ft Coiled wire, was WAY too short. br>br>I haven't yet rigged the wire to be less in the way, but I'm more than cable because it's ultra-thin and long enough without a coiled design.
