Adds clean gain to the mic line and accomplishes its goal. If you have a dynamic microphone, you should definitely get one of these, but make sure you set it up properly because it requires 48v phantom power, which can damage your dynamic microphone if you plug it in directly. When correctly connected, the sE Dynamite does not provide phantom power to the microphone.

Our church recently purchased a Soundcraft ui16 digital mixer, which is known for having noisy preamps (EIN=-). 109 dB! Because the DM1's Equivalent Input Noise (EIN) is much lower, it solved our hissy podcast problem. br>br>The unit arrived on time, but I didn't have time to test the XLR cable that came with it.
