It will work as long as the Tascam has phantom power built in and the Rode mic does not require it. In a nutshell, the DM-X is a device that allows you to send The phantom power from your preamp is intercepted by 1 and used to boost the signal on your passive dynamic or ribbon mic. It won't work with an active condenser mic, which requires phantom power to operate. I hope this has been of assistance.
According to the manual, you should listen to it on a microphone if possible.
Please don't even think about it. A PRE amplifier is a device that amplifies the signal before it is sent to the speaker. It anticipates receiving delicate signals from a microphone rather than a mixer's high-level signal. The main reason this device won't work is that it requires "phantom power," which mixer mic inputs can provide but mixer outputs can't.

The Dynamite is a must-have for use with a Focusrite USB audio interface and a Shure SM7B mic, as it boosts the output of my mic without adding a lot of extra noise.
Adds clean gain to the mic line and accomplishes its goal. If you have a dynamic microphone, you should definitely get one of these, but make sure you set it up properly because it requires 48v phantom power, which can damage your dynamic microphone if you plug it in directly. When correctly connected, the sE Dynamite does not provide phantom power to the microphone.
Our church recently purchased a Soundcraft ui16 digital mixer, which is known for having noisy preamps (EIN=-). 109 dB! Because the DM1's Equivalent Input Noise (EIN) is much lower, it solved our hissy podcast problem. br>br>The unit arrived on time, but I didn't have time to test the XLR cable that came with it.
It was very clear and loud.
The device performs admirably and provides a substantial amount of pure gain.
If you use the Rode Procaster, this is an absolute must.
