Hello there,br>br>This is a stand-alone pre-amplifier. It does not have a direct connection to the computer. It's a fantastic microphone and instrument preamp, but you'll need to connect its line output to the input of a computer-connected audio interface. You could use this in conjunction with a Focusrite Scarlett interface, or simply use the mic preamps built into the Scarlett interfaces if you're a beginner looking to get started with recording in Logic. Our support team is available to assist you if you require additional assistance - Simply send an email to [email protected]>br>Best regards,br>br>Laurence Clarke // Focusrite Technical Support
Yes, it will work with the 2i4 and the Zoom UAC- On the ISA-based system, you simply exit the line output. On both interfaces, one into the line input. If you haven't already purchased an interface, I'd suggest the 2i4 over the Zoom. The 2i4 has a very pleasant tone to it. If you found this useful, please consider purchasing from us. This is something you should have if you have a professional studio. This preamp is incredible, especially for the price, and it's as clean as they come in this price range. This is the gear you want because there was no hum or hardware noise. Because the preamp was so loud and versatile, it picked up a conversation outside; double-check your levels. ) Transforms my C-major vocals into a D-major vocal. It's easy to tell the difference between the 800G and the U87. I really like it!.
I'm completely blown away by this mic preamp, which is the first I've ever purchased. I've been using audio interface preamps (with nice mics) for far too long, and I've always wondered why my tracks never sounded "full. " This prompted me to make more tracks in an attempt to achieve that "fullness," resulting in a muddy, unprofessional sound. I'm annoyed that it took me so long to get my hands on this, but I'm glad I did. Yes, it improves the SM7B's sound quality and detail. The game has been completely changed.
The ISA produces incredible sound. My other DIs are killed by the DI function, which I thought were fine before the ISA. It's difficult to imagine there being insufficient output, even for Ribbon Mics, because there's so much of it. Those who complain about this preamp have obviously never used it. Acoustic guitar, mandolin, and bass (DI) are the main instruments I use it for. Combine it with something like an LA2A or a Retro Sta- With some level compression, you've got yourself a killer sound. Any application will benefit from this preamp.
This mic pre has completely blown me away. In my studio, I have a few preamps, and this is quickly becoming one of my favorites. Transparent, adaptable, and with a lot of potential. Worth it!.
Initially, I was skeptical of this preamp. - I wish this unit was available in a full 1U rack unit with all of the same inputs and outputs. br>- There are no TRS outputs. I use it for vocals, acoustic guitar, and electric bass. br>br>It only has an XLR output. br>br> It does a fantastic job with everything. On pre-order, there were no issues. amplified performance br>br>If the performer wants to monitor themselves as well as the engineer's cue mix, this design might be useful to incorporate into a sound booth. Although all of that hardware is likely to be in the monitoring room in a large studio, this could be a useful tool for smaller studios and home studios. It's a large box that obstructs the monitoring room's view. I'd prefer a full 1U rack version with 1 or 2 channels, but I like it as a stand-alone box for practicing DI instruments or testing mics. This is a step up from my other, less expensive preamps. Yes, the SM7 is powerful and clean enough for that mic if you're on the SM7 bandwagon. However, "clean" does not imply that there is no amp present. I get an average noise level of - at 50db gain (across the frequency spectrum). In my DAW, I have a 100dB RMS level. This is an excellent example. br>br>Be sure to use balanced inputs; you'll need a female XLR to male TRS adapter to connect the preamp's output to your A/D converter's line input. You can connect your mic input directly to an XLR, but you'll get a variety of sounds and levels of distortion. If possible, use line input and set your input device's gain to unity (this varies by device and pot).
This is an excellent preamp and DI box that can add color to your sound and has a ton of features. It's the best preamp I've ever owned, and now I understand why so many engineers prefer Focusrite ISA preamps. Recording bass guitar through the DI is one of the coolest applications I've discovered for this one.
Like.
But now that I've used it, I'm thinking to myself, "What an idiot I was for trying to record without one of these for years!" "Anyone who records vocals should have this. With my Sennheiser 416 shotgun mic, which I also highly recommend, it sounds fantastic. This device will greatly assist you in lowering your sound's noise floor. The quality of your vocals will be exceptional. With this, you'll be able to appear more professional. So, what do you have to lose? "Buy now with one-time payment" link should be clicked.
