Does the job, but there's a very nice flaw in it
3/5

Since I frequently buy and repair Mac equipment, I purchased about 8 Sintech adapters. This adapter has been tested on MacBook Air (2013–2017) and MacBook Pro retina (2012–2015) models, and all I can say is that it works. It's quick, and it gets the job done, but it has one flaw. I'll explain why I gave it two stars in the following paragraphs. br>br>First and foremost, you must install Mojave 10 to use this adapter. If you're 14 or older, avoid High Sierra because it's full of outdated nvme drivers. You must use an OEM MacBook drive to install it rather than the adapter. br>br>Second: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innovative Following the release of MacOS 14, When version 3 is installed, you must format the drive as APFS for two reasons: first, it will take a long time for the disk to be detected when the computer is turned on, and second, you won't be able to get MacOS updates if you don't. br>br>Third, and this is why I gave it two stars: Expect sleep awake/ hibernation issues on ALL MODELS, with no exceptions; simply close the laptop screen without turning it off, wait at least 25 minutes, and then open it. I wish you luck in recovering it! You'll need to hard reset the machine if you don't want to see a nice flashing folder with a question mark on the screen like the one in the picture. br>br>The image depicts a 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina. 4" 2015. br>br>The only way to fix this is to turn off hibernation completely, which will drain your battery quickly and render hibernation useless; however, this can be done easily using terminal and a command. br>br>When using the adapter to boot from the drive on the MacBook Air 2014 and 2013, there is a 9-second lag. Finally, keep in mind that Apple Diagnostics will generate error code VDH002, which indicates a storage device problem. br>br>It's a great adapter if you can live with those two issues.

Take a look at those read and write speeds. br>br>Installation instructions for macOS Mojave version 2, MacBook Pro (13-inch Retina Display) inch, first quarter of 2015). HP NVMe SSD EX920 M was installed. 2 1TB (APFS Volume, GUID Partition Table, TRIM Enabled) My method is as follows: br>br> br>1) Installed the most recent version of Mac OS X, Mojave. br>2) Ran a backup. 3) Created a Mojave Installer on a bootable USB stick using Time Machine. br>4) Open the Macbook with 2 pentalobe screwdrivers (1 size for shell screws, 1 size for SSD screw), disconnect the battery, and replace the drive, making sure the adapter and new SSD fit snugly. It's been about four days and everything is still working perfectly
5/5

I used it on one of my late-night projects. The retina version of the Macbook Pro was introduced in 2013. A1502 is the model number for this item. br>br>The MacBook Pro came with a 256GB Apple proprietary SSD when it was first released. My storage space was running out, so I decided to upgrade to a larger capacity plug-in. and-play substitution (i. e. OWC 480GB Aura Pro X SSD for MacBook Pro (Retina, Late 2013 - OWC 480GB Aura Pro X SSD for MacBook Pro (Retina, Late 2013 - OWC 480GB Aura Mid-2015)) for $300 was simply out of the question. Fortunately, I found this adapter, read the reviews, and decided to buy it. Then I hooked it up to a 500GB Samsung 970 EVO. PCIe M NVMe NVMe NVMe NVMe NVMe NVMe N 2 MZ- 2280 SSDs V7E500BW is a model of the V7E500BW. After taxes and applying any minuscule rewards points I had, the total cost came to $135. So not only did I double my storage, but I was also able to double my read/write speeds while saving $165. Since the turn of the century, I've done countless fresh installs and restores on PCs and Macs, and this was by far the easiest and quickest. The only problem I had was that my internet connection didn't work at first. I was able to connect to my router after detecting the wireless card. It simply didn't have access to the Internet. So, on a whim, I rebooted my Mac about 2-minutes ago. It had to be restarted three times before it could connect to the Internet. So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly.

It works! This adapter worked flawlessly with the latest MacOS Mojave update on my 13" MacBook Pro early 2015 model
5/5

I installed a Samsung Evo 970 1TB hard drive and have had no problems so far. The laptop is now eight times faster and has eight times the amount of storage. I haven't had any of the problems with waking up, restarting, or sleeping that have been mentioned in other reviews.

It's quite effective
5/5

A1502 MacBook Pro, 970 EVO Easy! I was worried that the adapter's extra length would cause some installation issues. Fear that is completely unfounded! A Mac SSD has a longer lifespan than a NVMe SSD. br>br>After installation, the MacBook Pro started an Internet recovery, which I discovered reinstalls the original OS, which does not support NVMe. It's critical to have a bootable USB drive on hand, as well as an OS that supports NVMe (so that NVMe can be restored). I used macOS Mojave. br>br>When I tried to download the installer, all I got was a 22MB stub, not the complete package. With the help of a program called macOS Mojave Patcher, I was able to solve this problem. VERY USEFUL, I was able to get the entire 6GB installation file as well as a bootable USB! br>br>During the USB installation, I was asked if I wanted to restore a Time Machine backup. I said YES, and a few hours later, I was back up and running, with twice the storage and much faster disk access than before!.
