This thing feels amazing with the scissor switches on. It is attractive and discreet. br>br>Pros:
- Without a doubt, the key press has a great feel to it.
- The dedicated "Calculator" key is useful for quickly launching the app and performing a quick calculation.
- It has a low profile. The bottom (where the 0 key is located) is 6mm in diameter, while the top (where the calculator and fn buttons are located) is! With a diameter of 11mm, there is a slight grade. Overall, the profile is similar to that of my Logitech 915 (low profile mechanical keyboard). br>br>Cons: To be honest, there aren't many, and some of them are merely nitpickybr>- A significant disadvantage is that The USB dongle can't be docked with the numpad because there isn't enough room. The elevated section at the top, where the charging port is located, would have been an ideal location for docking the dongle. A chance was squandered.
- I wish there was a USB C port instead of a micro USB port. But it's not a major issue.
- I can't seem to find any software that will allow me to change some of the keys. The $€ keys, for example, are cool, but I won't be using them very often. I'd like to replace them with a summation sign and another symbol.
- It is not possible to change the elevation.
- The chord that comes with it is quite short. (I realize it's supposed to be wireless, but it'd still be nice).
"Widely CompatibilityHaivt numeric keypad is widely compatible for Mac OS and Windows system, which can work with your iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and laptop with Windows 10/ 8/ 7," according to the product description. "Warm Tips: Because MAC OS is a unique operating system, the "calculating","numlock","=","(,"")"and "$,€,"keys will not function on Mac, but other keys and number keys will. "br>I discovered that the product is COMPLETELY compatible with my Macbook Pro OSX. Some of the number keys aren't working at all. Other number keys immediately become stuck, resulting in an infinite number of entries for that number. Because of the seller's incorrect/false description, I am unable to recommend this product.
I've only had it for about a month and a half. After only two months of light use, one of the number keys failed. My return window has closed, so I'm hoping the seller will notice and offer me a replacement for the defective item I can no longer use.
It took me a long time to figure out that if you put nums lock on, it will keep repeating numbers even if you only type them once. It should work fine if you turn off the nums lock. I love it.
This wireless number pad appealed to me because it included all of the buttons I'd require - Backspace, tab, and the toggle for number lock are all included. without having to reach for my wireless keyboard or laptop to enter/edit numerical data and quickly switch between numbers and directional keys. It went above and beyond my expectations! The number pad keys are responsive, the pad itself is stable when striking keys, and it's so convenient to keep near my reports as I review and edit data. I wish I had purchased this much earlier in my professional life. The only suggestion I have for the manufacturer is to reverse the on/off switch to match the majority of gadgets sold in the United States.
I was looking forward to getting my hands on the number pad. It appeared to be brand new when I first opened it, but the number 4 and 9 keys did not work when I tried to use it. They didn't appear to be stuck, but they were unable to function. Then they started working, but when I only hit the key once, I'd get like 12 nines or fours. Along with the number pad, I was given a small card with an email address on which I could contact the seller if I was dissatisfied. So I sent them an email, but received no response. I also attempted to contact them via Amazon, but they did not respond. This isn't a good product, and the customer service isn't great either.
Purchased in January 2021, failure began in August 2021. It started pressing buttons on its own at random. I'd return to my computer to find any open document with pages typed in the same character, and I'd watch it do so for the rest of the day. Disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly were all ineffective. It's a problem with the button contacts that can't be fixed. It's obvious that there was a manufacturing flaw, and it's now E- I'm proud of how long my electronics last. br>br> I make a concerted effort to repair them as much as possible in order to maximize their useful life. However, even for someone like me who has the skills and tools to repair electronics, this keypad is a complete waste of time. br>br>If anyone is interested, I have included a photo of the disassembly.
The keys are easy to press, and the keyboard as a whole is fashionable. However, I'm not sure if there's a problem with the compatibility or not. I'm using a Macbook Air with the M1 chip, and when I connected the keyboard to my laptop, the output was number 61 instead of an equal sign, and pressing ")" gave me 40. I'm not sure if this will be a problem for all computers with the M1 chip (Apple chip), but it's worth noting.
