I've been using my Microsoft Surface Book for a year and a half to enter data into spreadsheets and other software. I've known how to use a ten key for most of my life, but it hadn't occurred to me that I could purchase a separate ten key numeric pad for that purpose. For me, the ten key works. It's just big enough for my hands, and the keys have the same tactile feedback as a regular keyboard, with the exception of the 5 key, which has a nice centering bump. There's even a key that launches the built-in Windows calculator. It had no issues connecting to my Surface Book. I only wish I'd known about it earlier.

I've always had a larger laptop because that was always a requirement for me. I finally decided on a Black Surface Laptop 2 because I needed something more portable. That meant I needed to track down a ten key to match it. This one is ideal; as you can see in the photo, it appears to be a natural fit for the laptop.
