Yes. On an iMac 21, I'm using it. 5, with Catalina 10 for Mac OS X. I've had some issues with it losing connection, but that's more likely due to my position in relation to the computer than the operating system.
Yes, a smartphone can be paired with any Bluetooth keypad. This number pad is included in the package.
That is an excellent query. My computer is the only place where I use it. I bought it because my old keyboard didn't have a keypad and I was working from home. Great value for the money, and it lasts a long time.
That's correct.

My problem was that the number keys did not register after charging it! The backspace and symbol keys would be the only ones that worked. I suspected it had something to do with the NUMLOCK status on my laptop after conducting a thorough Google search, but my small laptop lacked a NUMLOCK key, leaving me stumped. I was about to give up when I found a contact address for tech support on their website, sent them an email, and received a call from Ontario, Canada, within minutes! The issue was that the laptop's NUMLOCK function was disabled, and because I didn't have a dedicated key for it, I had to use the onscreen keyboard to enable it. The keypad worked perfectly after that! br>I hope this helps someone else, because I noticed that someone else had the same problem and returned the devices. Please give it a shot before giving up! It's such an easy fix. br>Many thanks from Canada, Michael!.
This is one of the few items I've ever come across that works with Mac Bluetooth reliably. It shuts down on its own. If you haven't used it in a while, it will turn off without warning, but it will notify you on the Mac's screen. However, after a few months of use, I discovered that it was unable to pair. I assumed it needed to be charged, so I did so and then forgot about it for about a week because I didn't need it. I was still unable to pair it when I attempted to use it. I tried several times, following the instructions (backspace enter), but to no avail. I was about to throw it away when I tried it one last time a few days later (after days of trying) and it suddenly worked without the need to be paired.
This appears to be an interesting little device. In case anyone comes across this, I'll mention it. For me, it wasn't as simple as plugging it in. It was on a Microsoft Surface that I was attempting to use it. I had to change the value (to 2) for "initialkeyboardindicators" in the registry editor for HKEY_USERS, and even then, I had to open an electronic keyboard to activate the numeric keypad and number locks. ) It was a good time. But, now that I've figured it out, I figured I'd share.
(MAC) Works With Other Bluetooth Keyboards Connected As Well. While setting up the keyboard, I'm writing this review, and I'll update it if anything changes. I can't speak to battery life just yet, but one thing I couldn't find in my research was whether or not I could connect multiple keyboards at the same time. Because I didn't need the number pad, I bought the Apple bluetooth Magic keyboard without it. I recently purchased a new computer program that requires the numeric pad, and I was able to pair both devices successfully. I didn't get it to connect right away, but I followed the troubleshooting instructions in the box because it was asking me to set it up as a full-sized keyboard when I first got it, and I exed out of the auto-connect mode. pop- I went straight to "accessibility" in system preferences and followed the directions, which said to "press the key next to the shift button. " Boom. I also signed up for their "VIP Tech Support," which gave me a 2-year subscription to their services. (Use the QR code to get a one-year warranty. ) Their website isn't functioning properly). When purchasing a product from a brand you haven't heard of before, a good warranty is essential. I'll keep you updated as I learn more about the software.
I bought this for my Mac to help with number input because I despise using the top row of numbers. When not in use, it works very well, holds a charge for a long time, and also seems to go to sleep (for lack of a better term) but not in a frustrating way. Very responsive, and it connected to my Mac without any issues. I would strongly suggest it. Excellent price-to-quality ratio.
After several attempts and a visit to the Macally website (which did not have my issue), I simply skipped the steps to get it "recognized" and began to use it without issue. My wife (who requested a ten-key number pad) quickly realized that there is no clear key on this keypad, only a back space to erase current numbers one at a time, so we have to use the mouse to press "clear" in the calculator app to clear it. I'm not clever enough to figure out how or if the backspace key could be reprogrammed.
I do have to charge it every day, though. Despite the fact that I turn it off when not in use and only use it for 10 minutes per day. I'm not sure if mine is faulty, but it's very inconvenient. I have another Bluetooth number pad that I use all the time and only charge once a month. It's inconvenient when I turn it on to use it and it turns off right away.
For me, this keyboard is ideal. It's connected to my MacBook laptop, which I use to enter grades for my students. It saves me a lot of time because I don't have to fumble around with the number keys on the top row of my keyboard. The only drawback is that there's no way to arrow "up" and "down" in this game. " My online grade book system requires me to jump from box to box from time to time, so having to switch to my keyboard is inconvenient at times; however, it's still preferable to not having a keypad, so this teacher is content.
