This is a product I bought to seal in my phone case because we like to fish and I am afraid I will lose my phone overboard. It does adequately secure the phone while maintaining its weight. If I ever have to use the feature that keeps my phone above water, I hope I will never have to. The dark background allows my dark phone to be remarkably easy to spot in a swimming pool bag or boat bag in the meantime. With a clip on clip off fastener, the float can be removed quickly and stored when you don't want it to be in the way. I have also done that when I'm going somewhere where the float would be bothersome.

What a great idea! Whenever we kayak, we use them to protect our phones from slipping out of our hands. They're soft and comfortable on my wrist and buoyant enough to keep my phone from falling to the bottom. As far as car keys go, they'd be a good choice. It looks like for my phone to stand up against sinking in the lake, one of these would be too heavy. However, I read through the reviews to find out if they might hold up my phone.
