This is the description of the product STREAMLINE YOUR HDMI SIGNAL OVER ETHERNET - Streamline your 1080P HDMI signal over UTP cable and Cat-5 cable while extending it up to 500 feet (150 meters).
The IR strips did not work. I know they have plug-ins for IR, but I assume they only serve as repeaters and the HDMI signal is used as a piggyback
Yes, it does have a very good picture over Ethernet, and if you pull the Ethernet cable you can see a very nice picture on the receiving end, so it's very easy to use
I am not sure what a STB is, but it will transcode HDMI signals over cat 6 cables.

During live events, I can send a 1080p 24Mb signal for hours at a time over either of these units and have yet to encounter overheating or glitches. While I have had the need to run an ethernet cable long distances, I have not had any problems with a poor signal like wireless can have during very busy events. It would be great if we could fill up a venue again in the future.
During installation of a QUMI Q38 projector, I needed an HDMI over Ethernet extender for 1080p/60Hz to extend the cable from my HDMI switcher to the projector. I found this product to be the perfect solution. A J-card is also in my possession Last summer, I purchased a Tech Digital HDMI over Ethernet extender for my 4K home theater setup, and it has been working flawlessly ever since. The coolest thing about this extender is that it sends power over the Ethernet connection, which does away with the need to connect a wall wart to the remote end. I am very pleased with the picture quality.
The Long Range HDMI Extender 150m/492ft HDBaseT 1080P Extender I purchased was a good choice. To transmit video and audio from my Sony a6500 Camera to an audience in another room, I used it to transmit video and audio 100 feet or more. The video feed was very clear and had no noticeable delay from 125 feet of Cat6 cable.
The video feed was sent to a 1080p monitor with no delay. While moving to a 4K TV, the audio had a 1/3 second delay, but the video was synced to the camera so you couldn't tell the difference. When testing at home, my cat would occasionally bump into my wires and the video feed would go dark for 1/2 second. If you bump into the wire make sure nobody gets caught. Out of four hours, it did not go out once.
The audio was the main reason it didn't get a 5 star rating. During my live broadcasts, there were 4 or 5 occasions when the video feed was successful but the audio was not. It would cut out completely for up to 1 minute at a time. This will take about two My client was puzzled by this and it was alarming.
ALL IN ALL I am blown away by the small size of the device. There was no problem with the POE and the video feed was exceptional. The setup process took less than 5 minutes from the time the box was opened. There are no audio issues, I just wish it were better.
Through a splitter at the other end, I used this to extend a signal from a mac to three 1080p TVs. Unlike the church's original 100 feet HDMI cable, it worked right away without any flickering or signal loss. I had trouble getting IR to work, but I think it was because the cable is going to a splitter and then to It's a great build quality and I haven't had any problems with it for a month or two now.
I have not had a bad receiver on all of my mobile devices, but this particular one was bad. I have no problems with any of my other ones. By email, I reached out to I sent an email to Tech and they responded within an hour. An email with a pre-review was sent to me The Fedex label was addressed to them to send it back, and within two days of receiving the return, I received the replacement. Service that is second to none.
I have been using it with my Amazon FireTV, Nintendo Wii, and Xbox 360 consoles. The U and the PS4 had DHCP problems (I had DHCP problems with another service). Also, they provided excellent customer service, answering the phone promptly and being extremely patient and knowledgeable. In addition to recommending the product, I found the company to be very impressive. I needed to replace my 15ft long HDMI cable as it only worked well at 1080p (5 metres may be the limit for 4k I learned the hard way).
This HDMI extender was the subject of extensive research. I had to do a 75-point test The receiver was connected to the projector by a nine-foot cable. In this case, the equipment could be plugged in A plug-and-play game. It was recommended that I also buy an ethernet cable from the company. This is a quality cable that supports this extender very well. I like it that this is PoE as well. I'm very happy with this.
Having trouble finding anything in electronics that actually works after months, I've finally found something. The end is near!.
