Printer model T88V Surprisingly, this isn't just for Epson printers, as the item description claims, but for any USB-connected device. A serial adapter that could be used in a variety of situations. This is what I'm using to connect a TRS-80 cable to my computer. I hooked up an 80 Model 100 to a Raspberry Pi, and it works just as well as I expected. This adapter is mission critical to my very specific experience, as I'm browsing the web in text via serial terminal on a machine from 1981. It might be beneficial to you as well. It's highly suggested!.

I rewired it after using it for various purposes

I purchased this cable only to discover that it is designed for a specific device and is not wired in a generic manner. Because it was such a high-quality cable, I decided to rewire it myself (such cables are hard to come by) - It now functions flawlessly. For an old HP plotter, this method works

I'm using it with an HP Draftpro plotter that's been around for a long time. No problems with RTS/CTS handshaking after plugging it in. There's no need for any additional adapters or gender changers.

It was easy to use with the Epson U375 Validator

This was used on some Lenovo Mini M93P computers that were set up in drive-throughs with limited space. There were no serial ports on the computers. These worked well for connecting the Epson U375 receipt/validator printers to their DB25 connectors via USB ports without the use of any adapters.

This is what I'm using to calibrate a surgical laser, and it's fantastic. Much more convenient than using a DB9 adapter and a DB9 to DB25 null modem. Furthermore, the construction is of excellent quality.
