A simple serial null modem cable (three wires and no hardware handshaking) extends a COM port connection between a computer and an RS-232 compatible device.

Standard shielded DE9 female RS232 cable with AL foil, wired as a 9 pin serial port Null-Modem cord with 2-3 lines crosslinked (only TX/RX data and signal ground wires connected); standard shielded DE9 female RS232 cable with AL foil, wired as a 9 pin serial port Null-Modem cord with 2-3 lines crosslinked (only TX/RX data and signal ground wires connected).

DB9 female to female adapter extender with screws on both ends for a simple and secure connection for reliable serial cross data communication.

The wires inside are 30AWG gauge, easy to solder, and connect to the pins in the standard wire color code order.

MAY WORK, BUT NOT IN THE MANNER DESCRIBED! Only TX/RX data and signal ground wires are connected, according to the website and packaging (as seen in my photo)

There's even a reference to '3-' in there. 'type of wire' This translates to three. Isn't it just the wire? WRONG! Yes, wires 2 and 3 are crossed as they should be, and pin 5 (ground) is directly connected. Pins 1, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 are, however, wired directly through. WARNING: BEWARE! They might work for you, but LOOK ELSEWHERE if you only want pins 2, 3, and 5 connected as advertised. br>br>While we're on the subject, take a look at item 4 in my photo of the packaging. On a molded cable, that is completely meaningless. You don't have access to the wires and don't need to solder to them (and does it really matter what color they used in a molded cable?).

For the price, this is an excellent nullmodem cable

When you only need a simple TX/RX crossover cable and don't have an Allen-style connector, this cable is ideal. Bradley has an overall score of eight. If you don't have a pin Mini DIN cable on hand (or simply don't want to use one), It's 5 feet long and shielded, just like it says, and it works great in RS232 and DH485 modes (tested with a Keyspan USA-made device). A- and 19th grade B 1747- UIC, to be precise). The images, for the most part, are self-explanatory. There hasn't been a single packet that has been dropped. You can't get much worse for $7.

Cables of excellent quality

These are what I use for RS-232 communication between a PC and a PLC. In a classroom setting, there are 232 connections. br>Cables that are well-made. There are no problems.
