That is correct. I just double-checked the continuity of my voltage meter.
For an industrial application, I had to cut this cable. It has nine conductors (perhaps 26 AWG), a foil shield, and a drain wire.
This cable has 9 pins to allow for more expansion. Because VGA has 15, it will not fit. If both devices are capable, I would recommend using an HDMI or DisplayPort cable. VGA is an analog technology that has been out of date for quite some time.

Female to female DB9 RS232 cable, straight through - This is exactly what I needed to connect my FT450D radio to my Windows 7 computer. Because my desktop PC didn't have any serial ports, I had to first install a DB9 PCI card. PC is on the phone with the radio station. Everything is in working order.
And, lo and behold, it's now available on Amazon! The length is greatly appreciated, and the product is of good quality. There are no bent pins, so it works perfectly. It doesn't get much better than this now that I'm able to transfer data and connect to my Trimble gps receiver and handheld tds recon.
It was exactly what I expected. The shipment was delivered quickly. Everything was exactly as it should have been when it arrived. If this is the type of cable you require, I strongly advise you to purchase it. It was used to extend the reach of a factory cable that came with an older, but still functional Bose Acoustimass surround sound system. It was exactly what the bass unit required for proper placement.
And how many have you discarded over time? Everything went well, and I'm pleased with the results.
I used this to extend the range of my Logitech 5's front right speaker. For my media center, I only have one surround setup. They gave it a serial connector because the speaker has volume and power built in. Why? I'm not sure. However, it works perfectly.
My Logitech Z506 speakers are happy with it. I adore the fact that a low-cost 0 is available. I didn't have to spend more money on an extension that had more slack than I needed because a 5-meter extension was available.
This cable is in excellent condition. It's well-made and accomplishes the task at hand. It was installed in an audio/visual system, and we haven't had to touch it since.
This was purchased to extend the cord from my Logitech 5's "control" speaker. There is one surround sound system. Although I do not have the Z506 system, but rather the one with only one center channel speaker, I am confident that the connector is the same. A 9-inch speaker is used as the "control" speaker. The pin proprietary cable is only about 6 feet long. This cable allows me to move the "control" speaker to a far corner of my room without affecting the sound quality.
