I bought a Dell PowerConnect 5548 switch that was in good condition but didn't come with the console cable. I went a year without needing a switch, but I eventually got to the point where I needed to use advanced features and set up the web interface. br>br>While browsing the Dell website, I came across the following blurb: "RJ45 to DB9 Dell, Part C206M" switches that use RJ45 rollover: N100, N1500, N2000, N3000, N4000, Force10 E-Series, PowerConnect 5500, 7000, 8000, 8100, N100, N1500, N2000, N3000, N4000, PowerConnect 5500, 7000, 8000, 8100, N100, N1500, N C-Series (ExaScale and TeraScale), Series (ExaScale and TeraScale), Series (ExaScale and The Z-Series Series, S55, S60, S4810"br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br br>Data Bits: br>Port: COM2br> Stop Bits: 8br> 1br>Equality: Flow control: Nonebr> 0br>Terminal type: 0br>0br>0br>0br vt100br>br>Everything was in perfect working order. The cable is connected to a keystone jack and then to the switch via a 20-foot run.
I think it's a good investment.
It's a good value for money and it's very useful.
There are no dislikes.
A must-have for any network techie who wants to be inspired. professional in charge of security.
