Industrial USB to Serial (TTL) cable with a length of 5 meters (60 inches). TX/RX data traffic indicators are indicated by LEDs.

This serial cable is compatible with the Create2 and all Roomba models that have a mini DIN serial control interface, including the 400 series since October 2007, as well as the 500, 600, 700, and 800 series.

The FTDI chip is an overmolded USB to asynchronous serial data transfer interface on a single chip.

All Windows and Mac OS versions are supported, and it's plug-and-play.

Is this compatible with Roomba 4105?

YES. It is compatible with all models (400 series since October 2007, as well as 500 and 700 series) that have a Mini-USB port. A serial interface is connected to a DIN connector. The 4105 is part of the 400 series, so accessing the DIN requires opening the front panel.

Has anyone tried using this cable with a Linux machine?

No, I doubt it. Yamaha and Roland (at least my Roland xp10), I believe, use proprietary pin configuration for keyboards.

Connect the Roomba to it. This cable is outstanding. The cable works when connected to the Roomba or a computer. When the cable is active/data is being sent over it, it has a nice LED to show you.

The medium connector is in perfect working order! This was the only way I could get a roomba to follow me around

This was connected to the roomba's DIN connector and the Raspberry Pi 4 on the other end. And it works perfectly now that I have python programs from Github!.

Keep that in mind if you're planning a trip. Everything is as it should be. It's worth noting that the power pins on a cut cable aren't wired, so don't try to use it to power other devices.
