The quality of the USB connector is iffy to begin with. I could either return the unit or plug the connector into my USB hub. I took the plunge only to discover that this device does not work with a hub and can only be used when directly plugged into a computer. I had to decide between returning the unit and risking damaging one of my brand new high-quality mini-computer's two USB ports by jamming the connector into the port. a computer on a desk Have you ever doubted any of the dozens of USB connectors you've seen before? I decided to take a chance. It turned on and the drawer opened smoothly, but when I inserted a disk, the unit refused to recognize it. I examined a number of optical drives. br>br> I don't make impulse purchases and read reviews carefully, particularly negative reviews, to ensure that I get the worst-case scenario - and it was the only one with no negative feedback. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO PURCHASE A $15 ITEM. When product reviewers claim that leaving a 5-star review earns you a $15 Paypal credit, it's 99. I'm ashamed of myself.
2) The design is extremely light, thin, and black. 3) I recently backed up almost 100 CDs that I had lying around and didn't want to throw away. I backed up everything on this hard drive. The stress test yielded the following result: PASS. It was incredibly well-knit. My only criticism, which isn't really a criticism, is that I would pay a little more if it came with a carrying bag. Apart from that, this is one of the best external drives available! Note: This worked for me on Windows 10.
I've been looking for a good external CD/DVD drive at a reasonable price for a while, and this one fits the bill. It has read/write (R/W) capabilities, a reasonable speed, and a USB cable that tucks away in the unit's bottom. br>I'm an attorney who works with clients on a variety of large documents. This hard drive is ideal for my slim laptop. I can put all of my client files on a single (nearly) 5GB disk and keep track of all of my file backups in one place. br>It's a fantastic piece of equipment for my company.
This DVD player is "plug and play" in every way. " THIS IS AN AMAZING PRODUCT. Connect it to your computer's USB port, insert a DVD, and enjoy your movies without the need for any additional software. I assumed that because my laptops didn't have a DVD drive, that was the end of it. It'll be taken care of by me. But then this came along, and at the price, I'd be kicking myself if I hadn't given it a shot. br>br>This player is compact, stylish, and convenient to store. br>br>My advice is to add it to your cart and check out. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative My laptops are equipped with VLC Media Player. The DVDs played right out of the box with no problems. I can't speak for other video players, but VLC is a fantastic free option.
This product is defective, despite the fact that it can read discs and run programs from them. The locking mechanism wasn't working properly - It wouldn't close for no apparent reason. br>br>I had to completely open the product and remove the locking mechanism, which revealed the inside to be made up of cheap, easily broken plastic screw holdings (which I broke several of while trying to remove them). I'll keep using it because it's still functional, but I'll have to use the manual eject button to open it now.
- Keep in mind that I had to finish it the same day I got it. I didn't return it because I could see that it could still play discs and I didn't want to wait for a replacement to arrive in the mail. Overall, the product is poorly made (all plastic internal parts hold it together apart from the internal metal frame), and there isn't much guidance on disassembly if you want to fix it yourself (which I suppose I shouldn't expect them to provide, as long as they provide avenues for tech support). br>br>When it comes to money, you get what you pay for - $15. Pay more if you want all functions to work, and 99 for a working but faulty optical drive.
This product functions admirably. All you have to do now is plug it into a USB port and you're ready to go! There is no need to install any software. I would purchase this item again.
This product did an excellent job. It worked well even after I discovered it had used parts inside, and I believe it is a good value. The USB cord that was built-in was a nice touch.
This device is ideal for use with my school laptop. I teach first grade and have used DVDs such as Leap Frog Letter Factory and Numbers Ahoy to encourage my students to learn their letter sounds and numbers to ten. On the laptop, the DVDs play smoothly. On the screen, there are icons for play, fast forward, and reverse. This device does not come with a remote.
