Questions & Answers

What is the purpose of buying ?

do not need software for this product, since the majority of programs used with it are video editing and movie-making programs.

Could you please tell me whether or not this would work with the Intel Atom CPU?

It's not even possible to stream Netflix HD with an Intel Atom CPU and an Nvidia Ion graphics card.

Do you have the ability to rip Blu Ray movies ?

I've tried VideoLAN / VLC, EaseFab LosslessCopy and VideoSolo Blu-ray both of which are supposed to work, but I haven't been able to do it yet To convert Blu-rays and DVDs, you can use a Blu-ray / DVD ripper Having Blu-ray movies converted to MP4s is a good idea. The settings on my ASUS BW-450 may not be correct, the software may not be capable, or something may be wrong with my device Item 16D1X However, I have my doubts about I know the Intel i7-3245K processors have poor performance, so it might be my system The GPU I have on my 11700KF is unable to encode / decode videos of DVDs and Blu-rays, and cannot transcode them Then, it can be converted into other formats, such as X-rays. As long as I use the EaseFab DVD Ripper that I purchased (it's a fine product, btw) I can rip DVDs with spectacular quality but not higher The Intel processor with internal GPU / iGPU with QuickSync seems to be crucial and extends your graphics card's lifespan, which I will have to investigate since I am about to swap out my processor.

Do you know if it can play blueray discs as well? Is writing the only way?

With it, you can watch blue ray blu rays in 4K

A paperweight that costs a lot of money
3/5

As much as I wanted this to work, it just didn't. Sadly, it didn't work out. The device reads discs fine, but it always errors out when it tries to burn discs. As I don't burn discs often, I hadn't realized that it had passed the return period by the time I learned of it. I was fortunate enough to receive a refund from the seller nonetheless. Since Asus is taking their name on it, you would expect that their quality control would be superior.

It is vital to read this! Even though this drive is amazing, there are a few things to keep in mind! Generally speaking, you can expect a Master Disk to be extremely high quality
5/5

My Blu-ray burning technology is still unused, so I haven't tested how fast it is when reading It isn't my place to comment, so I can't. In any case- It is important to note- * It does not come equipped with a wireless router I HAVE A BLU-RAY BOARD My new raay media software can not plug into my tv. I had no idea this when I purchased it It is not possible to simply plug-and-play a Blu-ray movie. You need to download software in order to be able to view the film. When used with the correct software (4K, HD audio, immersive), it works magically. The reason I gave this product 5 stars is that, as a tool (and what it's made for), it is of high quality and easy to install. In addition, the things are big, make sure you look at the dimensions. It's okay for me, but may not be.

Fifty percent of the people fail
3/5

The third one I've gotten is pretty good. Two of the items were ordered initially. When she arrived at the hospital, one of the patients was DOIA. A replacement was made quickly with no problems. It is starting to make really horrible sounds when it is opened and closed, and it is taking a very long time to identify discs and begin the burning process. About 3 months after the replacement was purchased it is still making terrible sounds. It's possible to compare the graphics side by side with the other player using the same software and A properly functioning one will start burning quickly as soon as it is powered on. Unlike the one that makes bad noises when it starts, the one that takes a while to get started burning makes very strange noises. I expect it may be about to fail Therefore, 50% of the time there would be a failure. It's hard to say whether or not I'd buy them I am at least glad that I have an Asurion warranty, because I think I will probably have to return the device and cross my fingers for a satisfactory replacement. Despite this, the other drive, the one that works perfectly, works quietly, and speeds up.

The drive is very reliable for backing up my data
5/5

It can handle anything Burning wasn't really an option because I don't need it for that. Just reading. My movies have been backed up without a problem. I am sure that is listed in the description, but the size is quite large. It isn't that big of a deal. I am noting On my laptop, I use this program. You should have a power delivery type that - A hub is attached to the laptop (there is no power cord attached). For some reason, it requires a lot of power as it connects to the computer via USB alongside the power cord that comes with it. My computer will not work with more than one drive plugged into the hub. Plugging it into the other side of my laptop was easy. I am happy to be able to do so. There was no power plug for the hub, so I have not tried to plug it in. A cord extending from that is buried deep in a land not visited by humans for over a hundred years (behind a TV tray). If I use laptops for media center, Steam games, or other streaming in living room, I use this device to make the streaming easier. It was not just the drive itself in the hub that I tested. My problem was that the laptop was on the other side of the room and I didn't think of it until now. My external drive needs to be plugged into it, and my mouse needs to be hooked up to it, otherwise I have a cable mess and I can't function with my mouse. In your opinion, what would I order if I had the chance to go back and order something else instead of this? Not at all. This is the kind of product I will order I think this is a great idea (for what I'm looking for). If you have any problems with your drive, please let us know.

It doesn't work either because of the drive or because of the software that comes with it
5/5

There is an issue with the drive, or maybe it's the software that comes with it, because I have only been able to make a successful backup. Lastly, the software that comes with the drive, Cyberlink Powerbackup 2, helps protect your data. ASUS bundles software that doesn't even work with their equipment that only stops responding when I try writing to this drive. I can't understand why they bundle software that won't even work with their equipment. To upgrade to Cyberlink PowerBackup 2, I went so far as to purchase the tool. A new version of 6 has been added. I got the same results as before. It would not be a good idea to buy this drive until someone figures out what's wrong. The Technical Support department at Cyberlink was contacted and provided with the information they requested. Apparently, these are instructions for adding these two devices to my machine, including "Download and install the Intel® 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller" driver under the "System Components" section of my device driver list. ". Taking advantage of the "Motherboard" section of the Intel website, download and install "Intel® Management Engine Interface". The problem caused my computer to not recognize any of the USB devices that were attached, and I also had to do a system restore in order for it to boot Software is to blame, and the team does not have any idea The following update We got Acronis True Image 2017 and it did not fail, but it does not recognize the drive size and asks the user if they wish to retry, cancel, It shouldn't be formatted, regardless of what you do. No matter what the BD-level, it will make a difference A disc becomes usable when it has been rewritable. It was Acronis True Image 2018 that was sent to me by tech support. We tested it and the same result was obtained. In regards to the issue with their software, their tech support notified me that it is a known issue and they are working on a fix. I have another update to share It seems that Acronis Software supports up to a 50 GB BD-ROM Disk for RE. Additionally, we discovered that if Acronis software tries to write to a 100GB optical disc, the result is a blank disc There is no way to use the disc if it has this problem. In my email to Acronis, I had made this clear to them, but I am yet to hear back indicating that they understand what I've said. I finally got contacted again and we are now in the middle of escalation and troubleshooting. As a result, they had a clear understanding of the problem and worked out the details. They came up with a very creative solution, and I can only describe it as "Booyah!". We are happy with the results. The guys who do that are the best!.

I am happy with the way it connects between my Mac and PC
5/5

The downside to the Mac is finding software that works. While finding the right software can be difficult and expensive, the Mac is wonderful for the price. I haven't had any problems with it, it's very quiet and fast. The downside? The blue LED light is on. I would appreciate it if it were turned off or dimmed in some way. During the night, it is a bit too bright.
