As long as your computer has a USB port, this shouldn't be an issue. This is an external CD drive that can perform all of the functions of an internal drive. It reads the CD/DVD and displays the information on the disc on the laptop's display screen. When my laptop's internal CD drive stopped working, I found this drive to be extremely useful. It's also "plug and play" - that is, it's ready to use right away. There is no complicated manual to deal with, and I hope it works as well for you as it has for me. It's something I'd strongly suggest.
Dear, due to Chrome OS limitations, this external optical drive will not work with Chrome OS or Chromebooks. I hope it is of assistance to you.
Hi, Yes. Installing the operating system, watching CD/DVD movies, listening to music, creating backup discs, and burning movies/music are all possible with our external DVD drive. br>Moreover, the use of internal DVD media player software in the recently released Windows system has been discontinued. Install a VLC media player or other player software to play DVDs and CDs if your device's operating system is Windows 10 or higher.
Unless you unplug it and throw it against a wall, that is. This unit will be a hit with you. It hasn't given me any problems.

I recently upgraded my laptop, which, like most new laptops, does not have a disk drive. I still have a few CDs and DVDs in my collection that I'd like to make more accessible through my computer, so I'm ripping them onto my new computer. It's very efficient and convenient, and it's a plug-and-play device that doesn't require any software or drivers to install!.
This device is portable due to its small size. It is, however, a powerhouse in its own right. It's quiet, smooth, and quick, and it's completely plug-and-play. and-play. There is no need to download any software. I simply unwrapped the device, connected it to my computer via USB, and a dialogue box appeared, instructing me where to place the items I wanted to burn to the CD. The transfer took no time at all, and the device works with any computer that has a USB port. I would recommend this product to anyone who owns a computer, even if they don't have a CD/DVD drive, because you never know when you'll need a backup. This is the one you should buy.
The burner I received was inoperable. All of the CDs I inserted said they were full or that they couldn't be read. I gave CD-ROM a shot. r, and CDrw, but neither of them worked with brand new blank discs. This product has disappointed me; I'm not sure if I have the wrong CDs or if the burner is defective. br>br>For my next one, I'll go to a big box store to make sure I get the right CDs for the burner. I don't know much about technology, so I'll need some help from real people. I thought going the online route would save me money, but it's not for me.
The external CD/DVD drive worked as expected. It's a little slower than an internal CD/DVD drive, but that's to be expected. When the drive is not in use, the cable is attached to it and stored at the bottom. Because the cable is about half a foot long, the drive will be close to the USB port; however, when a cd/dvd is in the drive, the drive may move due to vibrations, so keep an eye on it. If you require a portable CD/DVD drive, this is an excellent choice.
I'd just started a massive project of converting all of my CDs to digital and thought it was only $24 to keep going. 99, I'll just go ahead and get another one and cross my fingers! br>br>Well, the second one I bought to replace the first one isn't working either, and this time for no apparent reason. When you use it, put it in a drawer, go on vacation, come back, and plug it in, it won't work on any computer. I did nothing to it; I didn't drop it, throw it, nick it, or do anything else with it. br>br>I can't afford to keep spending $25 on something that doesn't work for no apparent reason.
This hard drive has excellent outer packaging. Great little slim drive that worked perfectly with my laptop and was reasonably priced. It was a great buy and a good deal.
I ordered and returned an external hard drive that required software to operate. I'm fairly computer savvy, but I didn't want to get into that. I wanted something that could just be plugged into a USB port and work right away. This was exactly what I was looking for. I've now used this method to add over a hundred CDs to my iTunes library, and it works flawlessly. It's been around 15 years since I've used it. I was able to work for 20 hours without any issues. I would highly recommend this product because of the low price.
I had recently purchased a new laptop, which lacked a CD-ROM drive, as is common these days. rom. I needed to rip a lot of CDs, and this worked perfectly. I'm very pleased. The spinning disk causes it to scoot across the desk a little, so make sure it's not on the edge.
