Questions & Answers

Is there a 3-star rating on these? pin or 4- What is the connection between the pins?

3 pin.

Is it possible to adjust the light's brightness?

The LEDs are not controlled; instead, they rely on the fan header for power.

Is it possible to operate the fan without the LED on?

I'm not sure why you'd want to do that. The fans were a little rowdy, so the trade-off was made. The warm white LED is turned off. You'd be better off getting something that isn't as loud and doesn't have any LED lights.

Is it possible to use these with my h115i?

The H115i does, in fact, use two 140MM fans, which are these.

The issue is straightforward: I'm sorry I had to do it this way, but the fans are great
3/5

I'm sorry for writing this review, but I haven't been able to find a way to file a complaint: My problem is that I ordered three separate fans but only got two. The fans are relatively silent: br>br> They're not as quiet as an arctic, but they're pretty good. They can get a little loud during high-intensity gameplay, but they're fine otherwise. They're a great deal for the money (I'm still fine with two for the price of three), and they're fairly simple to set up (I had a few issues that were most likely tower case related).

These fans have three pins and run at full speed
3/5

PWM variable pin fans with 4 pins are not recommended! I ordered these assuming that Corsair case fans would support PWM variable speeds in this day and age (which they do). This fan model, on the other hand, isn't one of them. It only has a three-pin connection to your motherboard and does not vary its speed when connected to PWM fan controllers, which is why they prefer four-pin fans with variable fan speeds controlled by PWM. With the original fans set to PWM, my case was completely silent. When these fans are running at full speed (26dBA @ 1200 RPM), they make a lot of noise. Corsair's ML (Mag Lev) fans with 4 pin connectors and PWM support are ideal for variable speed LED 140 MM fans. To be fair to Corsair, they clearly state that these fans do not support PWM. I took it for granted! LOL.

Quite a bit of noise
3/5

As a bottom intake, I have three of these. The fans are extremely loud right out of the box. RPMs are set to their highest possible level. When the speed of the mobo is changed, it does not respond. A four-pin PWM model will most likely be substituted. If you value silence, Noctuas are still the way to go. The noise level on these AF 120s is atrocious.

You have a fantastic appearance
3/5

The light isn't too bright: It wasn't exactly peaceful. When I say that installing these fans was a PAIN, I mean it! These were a pain to put together because of the screws that came with them! The screws were nearly too small for the fan screw holes. Because of the tight fit of the screws to their holes, they are prone to horrific stripping. You are given the exact amount of screws for the fans (4 per fan), so consider yourself "screwed" if you don't have any extra fan screws on hand. Now, the actual fit in the case will vary depending on the case, but these fit well in the NEO SILENT Metallic Gear ATX Case! (This is a case that is grossly undervalued! Powered by Phanteks, by the way)br>However, because these fans are 3 pins rather than 4, you can't control the fan speeds, which shouldn't be an issue if you're new to PC builds. However, if you're an experienced builder who prefers complete temperature control, this might not be the best option for you. However, it meets my requirements. The temperature ranged between 30 and 35 degrees Fahrenheit. 40 idle) with two sets for my intake and one set for my exhaust set at 60% for my exhaust set at 60% for my exhaust set at 60% for my exhaust set at% This noise level at 60% is noticeable but’t a deal breaker either. However, my exhaust fan can be used up to 70/75% with minimal noise. Keep in mind that these fans aren’t exactly noisy either. Keep in mind that these fans br>br>Another suggestion from a fan: br>br>I'll throw in a quick plug for another fan that's great if you're not strapped for cash and don't mind the color grey. br>br>If you're building a computer, you should be aware of NOCTUA at this point. And there's a good reason for it. When it comes to PWM, NOCTUA fans are a good choice. If you don't like the brown and beige color scheme, they also have a grey version that is 4-inch wide. pin! About 14- The cost per fan is $15. They are relatively quiet up to a 1000-foot range. They make a small amount of noise once they reach 1100 rpm, but not nearly as much as one would expect from a 1700RPM fan! They have a 6-year warranty and can pull in decent air even when dust filters are used. Even on automatic, these fans are excellent choices.

Quite a bit of noise
3/5

The new RTX 3000 series has a beautiful white LED. Did I say it was LOUD? I wanted some fans to match the beautiful white tones of the light up "Geforce RTX" lighting on my GPU after getting a GeForce RTX 3090 FE. I realized what I thought were "white" LED fans were actually more of a blue, and I wanted some fans to match the beautiful white tones of the light up "Geforce RTX" lighting on my GPU. br>br>In addition, I switched up my NH- To really bring it home, D15 was changed from normal to chromax black. br>br>After looking at a lot of fans and pictures and asking a lot of questions, these 140mm fans seemed to fit the bill in terms of size and lighting. "CORSAIR AF140 LED LOW NOISE Cooling Fan, Dual Pack - CORSAIR AF140 LED LOW NOISE Cooling Fan, Dual Pack - CORSAIR AF140 LED LOW NOISE Cooling Fan, Dual Pack - CORSAIR AF "White, 140 mm"br>br>They arrived, but there was no mention of "low noise" anywhere on the package. br>br>Hmmmm. br>br>With the included screws, installation is simple, and the ample cable length allows for easy connections. br>br>The white LEDs matched the RTX GeForce lighting perfectly from shade to illumination as soon as I installed them. They completely match 100% on the dot on the dot on the dot on The center ring lighting (as opposed to perimeter lighting) really pops and elevates the case fans to new heights. Then you realize how LOUD these fans are. br>br> br>br>Because they are 3 pin (rather than 4) they do not respond to PWM, which is fine because my previous set of Corsair LED case fans were three pin and were MUCH quieter.

I run an EVGA FTW Z390 with DC controls, so off to the BIOS I go and adjust them to 75%. br>br>NOPE, the volume is still insane.

Ok, how about 50%

Much quieter but still too loud even at 50% but it will have to do because it will have to do% br>br>They also have a dull ramping up/down sound, which I've noticed on each and every fan. I even ordered a second pack to see if it was the first, but it's already been claimed by every fan. At full SRB "we have liftoff" speed, you don't notice it as much, but as you slow down, it becomes a subtle, but always present, slight ramp up and down sound. If you're sensitive to noise, multiply that by three and you'll be driving yourself insane. br>br>While attempting to isolate and locate the source of the sound problem, I unplugged them one at a time, and the significant reduction in noise was immediately apparent. again. even at 50% is a phrase that can be used to describe a situation where something is It was pure bliss to have all three of them unplugged.

At 100%, they were drowning out everything in my room including my HEPA Filter which is pretty audible HEPA Filter which is pretty audible HEPA br>br>I'm going to have to return these because they're simply too loud, and the uneven harmonics are the cherry on top. br>br>It's a shame, because they're quite attractive. These are fantastic if you don't mind noise and want powerful, ring-based LED lighting for your case. If you're sensitive to noise, however, stay away from these.
