Questions & Answers

Will this be enough to keep a Ryzen 3600 cool? Also, what is the maximum number of cores that this Ryzen 3000 series chip can cool?

If you don't overclock it too much, this thing will cool anything. It's possible that you'll have to get free mounting hardware for the Ryzen stuff. Best wishes to you.

Is this enough for a non-professional to use on a regular basis? In a carbine spec 1 case, an overclocked AMD 8350?

My i7-4790K processor has a power output of 140 watts. Idle temperature for the 6800K is 23 degrees Celsius. The 140W chip runs much hotter than any of the Intel chips before it, and the 23C temperature is almost unheard of for a chip. This should give you a good starting point based on the wattage of your chip.

Do I still need to buy the am4 mounting kit for the 3600 if I order this cooler right now?

In August of this year, I placed an order with Noctua Cooling, which was fulfilled by Amazon. The AM4 mount kit was included in the package.

Is there any mounting hardware for the LGA2011?

That's correct!

For the Cooler Master NR200 case, the best air cooler
5/5

This is an excellent cooler, particularly for use with the Cooler Master NR200 case. I've got it installed on an Asrock H470 ITX motherboard with an Intel Core i7 10700 processor. I can run the CPU at 125 W instead of the stock Intel 65 W because of the motherboard. This cooler is rated for a maximum of 205 W by Noctua, but if you add a second fan in a push pull configuration, you can achieve the same cooling performance as a NH-D15. U12A, or just a smidgeon above it. I put this cooler to the test with both single and dual fans on handbrake. With a i7 running at 100% load at 125 W in single fan mode, my CPU lives between 65 C and 70 C in single fan mode, my CPU lives between 65 C and 70 C in sing I can easily access the motherboard and ram because there is no bottom fan. In general, this air cooler is excellent. I wasn't sure if it would be up to the task, so I ordered an AIO with a 280 mm radiator. Because the NH-AIO was never used, that AIO was returned. C14S is very good at what it does.

Installing it was difficult, and I didn't get the results I had hoped for
3/5

in order to improve the temperature of the Ryzen 2700X. This is being used with a Ryzen 2700 X in a Corsair Carbide 100R mid/full tower case. Be aware that if you want to use a 2700X, you'll need to purchase a separate mounting kit, which costs an additional $8-$10. Amazon is selling it for $10. My CPU is idling at around 47C, despite being overclocked to 4. 0GHZ. I didn't get close to the lower temperatures I was hoping for. (I've seen other reports of temperatures in the low to mid-twenties. ) ) That being said, I'm not overheating and crashing while running 100% on my overclock, so it is working on the upper end to keep things cooler than the stock option, so it Because of the bracket system and the fact that you had to move the fan around to get the included screwdriver through the top of the fan and into the bracket screws, installation was a pain. The cooler is made of excellent materials and is well-engineered, but I'm disappointed by the price, the lack of a mounting kit, and the higher-than-expected temperatures. That said, it fits in my case, and my OC no longer causes my CPU to crash. So, 3. Price and convenience (or lack thereof) were deducted from the five-star rating.

I like it because it's an AIO
4/5

I'm running it on a 2700X CPU with a Tomahawk B450 board, and it's currently at 105 degrees F. It's quiet, but I'm not a gamer, and it appears to work. I've only seen the temperature when my CPU is fully loaded. I wish I could say the same about my GPU in the 120 degree area. It is, however, an older model that will soon be replaced. I can assure you that if you have an M/ATX case, it will not fit. The Blue Ray Drive interferes in one direction, while the rear fan interferes in the other. It's a substantial piece of equipment. I've seen people complain about the fan's colors; if that's the case, order a 140MM that you like, but I prefer quiet, so I've turned it up to 11. The fan can be mounted on the top or bottom, and it does clear the memory. I hope this information aids you in making decisions. I'm starting to believe that some people simply enjoy downgrading everything in these reviews. Everything in my system is working fine for me.

Keep a close eye on your knuckles and ensure that you have good lighting and vision
5/5

With the included single fan, this thing is a fantastic heat dissipation beast. With another on top, I'm sure you're pushing the limits of overclocking, but I'm confident it'll handle it. Even during stress testing, the system is very quiet. My only word of warning is in the title of this article. It comes with what I'd call the "ideal" install phillips tool, but it's difficult to see, and you won't get the hang of it unless you do four or five of them. One of the two screws is usually in a difficult-to-see area, so start with that one and move on to the second. An endoscope would have been useful for seeing between the fan blades and getting a good side shot. I also lost some skin to the cooling vanes during all of my attempts. The manufacturer advises that once installed, the cooler should not be transported with the computer without first uninstalling it; it's heavy enough, and with such a small attachment point, I believe it could break off the motherboard in transit or if the desktop falls a few feet. Finally, Noctua, you've accomplished your goal and delivered.

It's a fantastic cooler, but it's a little on the pricey side
4/5

I chose the New Hampshire-based company. With my Cooler Master Silencio 352 mATX case, I had to go with the C14S because of the advertised cooler height limitations. I later discovered that a taller cooler would have fit better, but I don't regret my decision. br>br>I chose this cooler because I'm a big fan of Noctua's quality and performance, and its specifications indicated that it would work with my setup. According to tests, this cooler is only a few degrees behind the big NH-100. When you consider that the C14S only has one row of fins and a single 120mm fan, compared to the D14's double-row fins and dual-120mm fan, the D14 is incredible. The D14 radiator has 140 and 120 mm fans. The C14S also has the advantage of blowing cooling air directly at the motherboard, making it a better option in the end. br>br>I ended up mounting it with the fan underneath, as it comes, because there was more clearance between the fan and the board than there was between the fan and the case side if it was mounted on top. I believe that the better airflow compensates for the less ideal location. The cooler has proven to be very effective in my experience. When overclocked to 4600 from 3500, CPU temperatures do not exceed 20 degrees Celsius above ambient in stock form, and 30 degrees Celsius when overclocked to 4600 from 3500 in stock form. At full speed, the fan is fairly quiet, but with the CPU at stock speed, I find that I don't need to spin the fan above 700 RPM to keep things cool, and at that speed, it's almost silent. I discovered that if PWM is set to 300 at low temperatures, the fan will not start, so I had to increase the starting speed to 400 RPM, which is still barely audible. br>br>My setup consists of an ASRock Z170M Extreme4 motherboard and an Intel I5-4590 processor. A Crucial MX200 2, a 6600k CPU, an EVGA GTX750 Ti SC, two 4GB Crucial 2133 DDR4 sticks, and a 6600k CPU A LG WH16NS40 Blu-ray player, a 5" SSD, and a 3TB WD Green HDD ray Disc Rewriter, an EVGA SuperNOVA 550 G2 PSU, and a pair of Noctua NF-1000 case fans provide case ventilation. On the intake side, there's a pair of F12 PWM Cooling Fans, as well as a Noctua NF-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX The exhaust fan is a P12 PWM fan. The case is a Silencio 352 mATX from Cooler Master. Everything is in its place. br>br>However, at $90, it appears that this cooler is more expensive than it should be, given that it only has one fan and is simpler than other, less expensive Noctua coolers.
