Questions & Answers

Is this comfortable to wear over Chaco river sandals or other river footwear?

My opinion is that the sandals could be worn comfortably with the cleats if they have a solid toe cover (such as Keens) and a thick sole.

In what way is this different from the Icetrekkers?

On the bottom is a different pattern. They might work well on ice, but I am not sure. Shoes like these fail to match the quality of waders or shoes with felt soles. Better than nothing is a better option.

Would a size 15 boot fit the largest size?

It might fit size 15, but I am uncertain. The work boots I wear measure 12 and are as big as you could possibly make them. The rubber can be stretched far enough to work if you stretch it far enough

What is the fit of these I usually wear a size 12 but my wading boots are kind of big so I'm thinking an XL may be needed. Can you elaborate?

I can wear them over my wading boots with no problem. They worked perfectly in the largest size that I ordered. A 10 second cycle is required to turn it on and

A person can fall off at any time
3/5

Flow and river fishing have been my favorite things to do in them, as they offer excellent traction They are very effective from a technical standpoint. The rivets that hold the chain to the rubber have been dented by stones, but they appear to be well built and durable. That is to be expected, but I am not sure if this is an indication of future problems with the rivets. My boots have come off twice in three trips, either from brush or snagging on tree roots. It would be a waste of time and money for me to add extra ties across the top of my boot foot to reinforce it- This would be a good way to secure them, but if you end up entangled in something under water, it may not be a good idea. The cost of rescue might be greater than the cost of losing one. Lastly, the individual cleats on the chains are quite sharp. I am keeping a close eye on my boot tread to see if it has worn down from abrasion. It is an overall good product that I would buy.

Their effectiveness has been proven
5/5

To begin with, I wear an extra large boot that fits well with these cleats. As a first time user, I was too carfull to walk forward at all times. In order to be stable, I use a trekking pole. I quickly realized that I didn't require the pole as much after I acquired the cleats. I had a great time fishing after using the cleats. Wet stones are much easier to walk over when you have cleats on. Despite the moss growing on the stones, I was able to walk across them with little difficulty. While walking to the river, I was able to walk to the river without any problems because the bank slopes down toward the Those are the cleats I recommend.

Quality is good, efficiency is very good, and the product is In a nutshell, The purpose of these is to be able to walk through rivers more securely In my opinion, 8 is a good size
5/5

It fits just fine. I got it in a medium, and so far they have worked well on rocks (some rocks are slightly slippery, so you still need to be aware), mud, and My search for what I needed was met here. The value of an investment is high if they last. As I walk along the slippery muddy banks and in the river, I feel much more secure.

This is going to change everything! A fisherman in his 70s, I find my Patagonia and Simms boots with studs, as well as my experience with snotty rocks to be a bit troublesome
5/5

It's a lot easier to dive into the water with a pair of lighter fishing boots, because I can walk to where I want to go, then pull them on and jump in. I do not have enough experience with them yet to be able to verify their durability, but so far they have proved easy to put on, work with slippery mossy bottoms, and stay in place. It gives me access to a lot more information.

The features of this product are • Light weight • Good traction on wet or mossy rocks • Reasonable price • Easy to use
4/5

On the jetty, I use these cleats when I go fishing. As a rule, I wear cleated sandals strapped over my fashion footwear or a pair of Timberland boots (in dry weather). they work quite well, they are a lot heavier and bulkier than they need to be. Walking over the mossy and uneven rocks is difficult with the extra weight. They fit perfectly over my pair of boots since they're so close to my shoes. If you're tired of bulky/heavy sandals, this is a great option to try. If you plan to use them in saltwater, be sure to wash them off. The pros are This product has the following pros and cons * Lightweight* Good traction on wet/mossy rocks* Reasonable price* Easy to put on and take off * Cons It is not known how long they will hold up when exposed to.

This is a fantastic technique
5/5

This pair of cleats seems to improve my traction significantly when I am wading. It fit perfectly, but after reading reviews that they came off in deep mud I attached a small ball bungee to create a leash. I am able to walk on any terrain with no problem, but I still need to tread lightly When fly fishing, I highly recommend these for wading.

It's really easy to catch with Stream Trekkers
5/5

Walking across river rocks covered in moss is a delight with them. They would be great for fly fisherman on our river I could see how they'd be useful. As well as being useful for hiking through the deep woods and wetlands, these shoes are very useful for walking across mossy grounds. can be quite a help if you have to climb a steep grade in order to get out of the situation you got yourself into. will definitely become a family heirloom. Some of it is going to the grandchildren. Although I almost need a sturdy walking stick when traversing through rougher water, one thing I have found is that you can't see the bottom. There is nothing better than this.

For these, you will have to pay a little more than the basic chains from YakTrax
5/5

This is well worth your time. As with the Yaktrak diamond, these are exactly the same. As the YakTrax Pro chain version fills with snow, it turns into ice and is rendered useless when exposed to the elements. It involves two miles of hilly, steep ice to see a spectacular waterfall), yet is not so spiky that you can't walk indoors to avoid damage to floors. Walking through the city in Reykjavik in winter is the perfect activity.
