These shoes, in my opinion, were a little too high on my feet. Just enough to completely encircle the ankle, but not quite high enough to provide any real support. It is neither a "low" nor a "middle." What I believe this shoe will do well is protect the skin around the ankle from scuffs, cuts, and/or other types of damage. If you're looking for ankle support, these might be a little too low.
Memory foam is used in the sole inserts! They're there for a while, but you quickly forget about them. My shoes wear out much faster because I wear them 5 days a week for 8 hours. However, it is extremely comfortable. In the last 13 months, I've gone through two pairs of shoes.

Skechers are always a good investment. I got it for my S- as a Christmas present. He likes them a lot for his work shoes. It's a good buy and it's very comfortable. The following are the reasons why I did not give 5 stars and will not do so in the future: I had to clean them up as soon as I got them. Someone had bought them brand new, with no signs of wear, walked on tiny rocks, decided they didn't want them, and returned them. Before I could gift the shoes, I had to use a pen knife to pop each tiny rock out of the shoe's cracks. I should have returned them right away, but I ran out of time, and if the seller was going to accept a return like this, they should have cleaned them up before reselling and re-stocking them. They're being shipped! A rating of four stars is a generous one.
I'm blown away by the quality of these shoes. Going in and out of work in the rain, walking across mopped floors, and so on are all part of my job. These had to deal with a lot more than you might expect when it came to ice and snow. For nearly 9 hours of working in the cold, walking in and out of my job, through snow, my feet were toasty and warm. on ice, and so on. It wasn't until it was 8 degrees outside and I was in my tenth hour of work that my feet started to feel cold. They're water-resistant and helped me navigate the ice much better than regular shoes. I only fell once while walking down a driveway and stepping onto black ice; they aren't "snow shoes," but they made working in the snow a lot easier.
Before I bought these, I knew I wouldn't like the insoles; I've never been a fan of Sketchers' memory foam implementation. Normally, this isn't a problem because they're easy to remove. Not on these shoes, where a dab of industrial hot glue keeps them in place, making it nearly impossible to remove without damaging the insole's bottom. So that's how it went down. The bottoms of each insole were destroyed during removal, and to make matters worse, I had to use pliers to remove the bits that stuck to the bottom of the shoe. br>br>Let's start with the first issue. When I put these on for the first time, I noticed that the vertical space between my toes was quite large, but the lateral space was quite tight (this was something I noticed before removing the memory foam insoles). This resulted in a reverse flip flop effect, with my big toe rubbing against the hard (composite? alloy? ) toe. It didn't help that there was no built-in arch support. Overall, the result was a shoe that was extremely uncomfortable. I only wore them for about 5 hours of my workday before I had to change into my old shoes. br>br>If you've had good luck with Sketchers in the past, you might have good luck with these, or if you like their memory foam, you can at least try them out and see if they're any good. I'm afraid I won't be able to return them because I damaged them, which is a pity.
not quite that big?! These work shoes are fantastic. They have a fantastic appearance and a fantastic feel to them. possibly for two or three days in a row. I'm not blaming the product; I'm sure someone with normal feel wouldn't have the same issue, but after a few days of wearing them, my toes start to hurt, and the composite toe feels like it's not quite as wide as the rest of the shoe, which is annoying given that the shoe is supposed to be XW. But, as I previously stated, I could be the only one who has this issue, and unless you have obscenely wide feet, you should be fine in these stylish, sleek, and ultimately comfortable shoes.
When I first started working on a factory floor and had to work 10-hour shifts, I really liked these shoes. They are well-fitting and provide adequate comfort. But after about 2 or 3 months, the memory foam gives way, and I develop a lot of pain in my heels, plantar fasciitis or something similar; you can't really remove the memory foam insole, but I put an insole in anyway, and it helped for a while, but the pain returned quickly. I wore my farm shoes (no comp toe) for a few days because I couldn't tell if it was the show or my feet causing the pain. Yes, my feet are still a little sore because a fascia takes time to heal, but there has been a noticeable improvement in overall comfort, leading me to believe that the problem is due to the shoe. It's a shame because they're a tough shoe that's generally comfortable, but after a few months, they simply don't provide the support you need if you're on your feet for hours at a time.
Thank you for your prompt service, excellent product, and A QUIET BOYFRIEND! He's no longer able to complain.
As an electrician, I wore these shoes a lot. They were a little narrow in the toe at first, but I was able to work around that. br>br>The grip and sole have held up well, but after only a few months of use, the seams on one of the toes has split. These shoes may be fine for someone who doesn't do a lot of kneeling/crawling, but they stink for a residential electrician. br>br>I'm also seeing where the inner side of one shoe is beginning to separate, which is also a big negative. br>br>.
The price, the well-made composite safety toe, the fit (they're pretty roomy), and the fact that they're lighter than a full leather high-top work boot are all pluses for these work boots. work boot of the highest quality I've chosen a moniker for myself. Each boot weighs 2 pounds, 5 ounces and is a brand name pair of leather work boots. At 1 pound, 6 ounces each, these Skechers are nearly a pound lighter. The memory foam insole inserts in these Skechers do not have much arch support and are glued in, which is a negative for me. They might be able to be pulled out and replaced with some tugging and tearing. However, because they are glued, you can't use a puncture-resistant nail guard under them or replace them with a more comfortable insole. Because these boots have a lot of room, I tried gluing a thin insole on top of the glued-on insole. Things were a little too tight up front due to the lack of stretch and give in the composite toe area. So that was ruled out. I took a star off for the glued insole, but this is a great work boot otherwise.
