I usually wear a size nine. I think I would have been happier with a 9 instead of a 5. It's not a big deal; they slip on even more easily now, and I'm used to my shoes being snug. br>br>Normally, I work the pizza oven in the kitchen, but a guy called out, so I ended up working the fryer one night, and these things pick up muck like a magnet back there all night. Oil splashes through the night, and it's natural for it to end up on the ground. Never before have I seen shoes pick up so much trash from the ground. And you can feel every part of your shoe on the bottom of your foot that isn't level with the ground. I had to take a break to go outside and scrape the crap off for a few minutes. br>br>However, for my regular work, they're great; the most I get on them is flour, which is easy to wipe off at the end of the night. When they don't have anything clumpy on the bottom, they look great and are very comfortable. Overall, I would recommend it to any kitchen worker who does not work the fryer! I think they're well worth the money, and they're far from being unsightly work shoes! br>br>In addition, I recommend ordering a half size down.
The width is a little tight, and the arc fits, but with time and wear, it will loosen up. As advertised, this item is water resistant and anti-slip. It's a little hot and not very breathable, but that's to be expected with this type of product, and it might be useful for walking in the cold (warm feet!). My previous pair was heavily used in the food service industry and lasted for four years (longer than any other pair I'd owned up to that point, and the last year was in poor condition). It is not recommended that you get too wet or damp.
For the money, this is the best kitchen shoe. The spill-resistant coating is fantastic. For long shifts, I find them to be very comfortable. The non-slip grip is excellent, but because it is so intricate, it collects a lot of dirt; I recommend knocking them off outside before bringing them inside.
The coating quickly wears off, and the sole begins to separate. I got about three months of use out of them before they needed to be replaced.
Excellent shoes for long periods of time on your feet. It's great that they're water resistant. They even include a small tool for cleaning the bottom grooves.
flawless.
The fit is excellent, and they are very comfortable, but after three months, they began to fall apart.
Purchase your own insoles because insoles aren't sufficiently supportive. The show's toes are also narrow, so go for a wide if you think you'll need it.
