These boots have a great look to them. I wore them the entire day. They were extremely relaxing; There is no need for a transition period. Waterproof without a doubt. It kept my toes warm. dry. The lack of traction on wet flooring is a major disappointment. In 2008, I broke both ankles and needed these boots. I require supportive shoes or boots. I'm going to try to keep my feet firmly planted on the ground. I was walking through a kitchen with a dripping tiled floor. My feet and ankles were slipping as a result of my slipping. Legs start to tense up. br>br>With the exception of the slipping, I adore everything about these boots. br>br>I had intended to purchase the other two colors, but I'm reconsidering because I don't feel as confident walking in these boots as I should given the amount of tread on the soles. This pair is going to stay with me. br>br> I recommend them for a variety of reasons, but not to keep you from slipping.
These boots are without a doubt the most inconvenient I've ever worn. This is not an exaggeration. As a delivery service worker, I've gone through quite a few pairs of boots. br>br>The issue for me is in the boot's toe box. The discomfort is caused by simple walking. The top part of my boot, which creases as I walk, has a very stiff material in it that jams down on my toes' knuckles as the boot creases. br>br>On October 20, 2020, I received the boots. On 10/21/2020, I wore them to work, feeling a little uncomfortable, but figuring it was just a matter of getting used to them. On 10/22/2020, I wore them to work once more. I immediately sensed that something wasn't quite right. Every time I took a step, the boot slammed down on my toes, knuckling my knuckles. To cut a long story short, I wore my old, battered pair of boots on October 23, 2020. br>br>The yellow circle in the image represents the area of discomfort. The good thing about this boot is that the sole is actually comfortable, and the ankle support is also good.
These are a step up from the Crest Evo boot. Because the Evo replacements aren't expected to arrive until late December, I decided to cancel my order. I put a photo next to these to show the difference in height. The Evo photos are deceiving because they appear to be the same height as these. br>br>On that note, if they're anything like the Evos, you're supposed to spray them after every cleaning, but I've never had any water intrusion. They sponged up the water, so I'm sure that was the worst part of my experience with them. These appear to be a blacked-out version of the hiking trekking boots, as evidenced by the photos. If the soles are anything like the Evo's, they'll last a long time, even at this price. On hard flooring, the tread patterns remind me of soccer shoes. I tried them on without the insoles but decided to add them. Following that, they have the best feel of any boot in this price range. I wore the Evo in the winter, summer, and fall with no real hot feet issues. br>br>The box has a paper that says 12 month warranty, but no one on any of these reviews has ever gotten them to honor it after 30 days. *11. br>br> 2021
After a week of use, they're exactly like the Evos in terms of breaking them in. During the break-in period, they will feel like soccer cleats, but that will pass. I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of snow so I can put these to the test. I'm not interested in how these feel in the snow if they're like the EVOs to the "T. " So far, they've held up to the 40 days and 40 nights of rain we've been getting lately, so I'm confident they'll be fine. They're like the EVOs in that they won't dry out completely without the assistance of a heat source or moving air blowing on them. For low puddles, there is still no water intrusion, and the soles effectively drain the water. This information should not be used to swim in. br>br>*12. br>br> 2021* They're still going strong, but because they're made of black cloth, they attract dirt and dust. There haven't been any new issues, and I haven't had enough snow to judge their traction; however, they have the same sole as the EVOs, so they should act similarly in theory.
Most facilities I visit require me to walk around the perimeter, which can be difficult at night! The majority of the facilities are located outside of even commercialized zones, with some fairly rough terrain, a lot of mud, and a lot of water. Uneven surfaces are difficult for me at 68, and these boots provide me with a level of stability that other tactical boots lack. The XPETI Men's Mid-Calf Boot is a great way to keep your feet warm. The Ankle Thermator Waterproof Tactical Boot is tough, durable, and water resistant. When I accidentally doused them with gasoline while filling one of our vehicles, I discovered that they are chemically resistant as well! They just wiped everything clean! The insole is extremely comfortable and well-suited to my problematic feet and ankles. There was no need for a break-in period. within the time frame! I've been wearing them every night for almost two weeks, in rain, mud, and temperatures in the 30s. Here in Florida, they're in their 40s, and they've done a fantastic job. These XPETI Men's Mid-Calf XPETI Men's Mid-Calf XPETI Men's Mid Because of their durability, comfort, and stability, we recommend Ankle Thermator Waterproof Tactical Boots to anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet walking through rough terrain!.
