midriffs aren't to be suffocated by.
Yes, they are very light, sturdy, well-made, and provide excellent ankle support in my opinion; they appear to be 1/3 to 2/3 lighter than current military issue boots, for example, and I believe they will serve well for hiking, which is a classic Danner specialty and military application.
It's not a good idea because it's too open-ended.
Go to Amazon and search for "desert boot cleaning kit." It includes everything you'll need to clean them without causing any damage.

As a 32-year Army veteran currently stationed in Afghanistan, I can say without a doubt that these are the best boots I've ever worn. Danners has always been my go-to brand for high-quality footwear - from the 1980s in Europe to the 1990s in the Balkans to the 2000s in Iraq - And it appears that things are only getting better in Afghanistan. The fit is identical to other Danners, and the cushioning, support, and durability have proven to be second to none so far, whether walking around Kabul or in one of the country's COPs. DANNER, WAY TO GO!.
These boots are high-end. Dinner will deliver exactly what I'm looking for. For the past 35 years, I've worn Danner boots. As I walk my dog, the vibrom sole is holding up very well. Every day, I walk 3 miles. The concrete sidewalks quickly wear out softer soles. The soles have hardly any wear after a couple of months. Dinner has become a personal favorite of mine, and I would recommend it to anyone. br>It's been 8 months since the last update. (I'm not sure why Dinner is always mentioned instead of Danner. ) I use these boots on a daily basis (autocorrect). I broke my ankle in a car accident a few years ago and needed ankle support, which these boots provided. I agree with others that lacing up and removing the shoes is difficult, but I'm used to it and don't mind. I used to have zipper sides on my boots, which I loved, but they wore out after three months! The Vibram sole is still in good shape. Although there are signs of wear, I walk the dog twice a day. Anyone would expect some wear after walking 3 miles every day on concrete. There have been no major setbacks. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the lacing. Normally, I would immediately replace them with paracord, but the lacing has held up so far. In the not-too-distant future, I'll switch to paracord. Danners' price hike has irritated me the most. I'll most likely get another pair if the price drops. Danner is the only company from which I have made multiple purchases. I've been wearing Danners since 1984, as I mentioned in my previous review. My first pair of Acadias are still with me. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> For the past year, I have worn these boots every day. They have some wear on the sole and heel, but nothing unusual for a year's worth of use. The boots are like an old gym shoe in terms of comfort. I would gladly reorder them if it weren't for the significant price increase; $150 for a boot is not excessive, in my opinion. It cost me $118 a year ago.
Danner boots have served me well in the past. I believe this boot was designed for warmer climates, so I haven't worn it much yet (but will as soon as the weather warms up). But here are my first impressions of her: 1) The outsole is extremely grippy; Because it is a Vibram outsole, it should last a long time. br>2) Good ankle support. br>3) Lots of nylon in the upper for breathability. br>4) While I haven't put it to the test in terms of water resistance, I did walk through some snow and my feet remained dry. Water resistance specifications are a little hazy. They aren't water resistant, according to Danner, but they are, according to other sources. There should be more testing. br>5) At times, putting on and taking off the boots can be difficult. The Rube Goldberg lacing system is involved in this. 6) And then there's the Rube Goldberg lacing system - It's difficult to loosen or tighten the laces because of this. When the laces break, I'm not looking forward to having to replace them.
I would prefer open eyelets for the boot lacing, which would make them easier and faster to put on or adjust (I guess this is forbidden on "tactical" boots)br>br>Other than that, these boots are super comfortable and worth the price! They are incredibly lightweight, like other Danner models. These Danners have noticeably more cushioning in the sole than the Lowa Zephyrs I've been wearing for years (which I still love and recommend), and they feel great when walking. Toe bed with plenty of room. On rocks, it's extremely grippy. There are no air or water drain holes, but they are breathable, so you won't get too hot in hot weather and the sand will stay out.
It appears to be well-made. Definitely worth the full price. br>br> The lace is of sufficient length to tie a simple knot. Until you untie the binding, it will stay put. br> After wearing two times, the shoes have been broken in. 3 hours and 8 minutes in the warehouse such as a shift The outward ankle may be rubbed by the heel collar's length. There were no signs of fraying on the material. br> Toes have plenty of room to breathe, and humidity is never a problem. br> Fits true to size; during incline/decline activities, weight is distributed evenly across the entire foot, not just the toes. br> Gets a good grip on a wet polished concrete floor, but it doesn't squeak. br> Gets a good grip on light mud, and knocking/washing the mud off is much easier than you might think. br>br>Overall, a good well-made film. Utility and construction of the boot are well-rounded. However, it would not be able to take the place of any specialized or regulatory-related work. boots with a specification Be a good citizen and use a shoe tongue to extend the life of your footwear.
When I first put these boots on, I was impressed by how comfortable they were right away! They are breathable and light in weight. These boots are perfect for my wide feet and high arches. I really wish the laces were made to be fast. The eyelet on the boot's final section bothers me. The boot's color is a shade lighter than shown in the photo.
These were the cat's meow after trying four other big-name brands in the same style. I'd never spent so much money on boots before, and the others I tried were around the same price. I wear these on a regular basis and they've held up well. They are extremely comfortable and have a perfect fit. The soles of my feet felt lumpy on all of the others because they had lumps or an unusual inner surface.
