Previously, this boot was fantastic
3/5

Update: This boot is completely useless in my opinion. They haven't become any more comfortable after months of ownership. This is the fifth pair of this model boot that I've owned. Maybe it'll be my sixth. I hadn't purchased a pair in a long time because I didn't require boots for my job. My current position necessitates the use of boots, so I reverted to my old standby. That boot isn't the same. It was a huge let down. They are made of inferior materials and appear to be of low quality. This appears to be a case of "this product has a good reputation, so let's cut every cost we can and sell them for the same price. " They appear to be $20 boots, and the part of the upper that wraps around the leg is so stiff and unforgiving that it presses against the side of my leg like wood. I still have a pair from six or seven years ago that are clearly made of better materials, despite the fact that they are completely worn out. I'm sorry for having to part with my old faithful. Second Shift used to be a fantastic boot. That is no longer the case. It's total nonsense.

I don't usually leave reviews, but these boots are so good that I felt compelled to do so
5/5

They've been in my possession for nearly six months. I put them on at least 5 times a week. Every week, six days. I work in construction, and I put these boots through their paces on a daily basis. They step on nails (never a puncture), walk through puddles (water never penetrates my feet), kick heavy trash and debris, and they hold up extremely well. They're also very relaxing. They were quick to break in and are comfortable on my feet. These are excellent work boots at an excellent price, and I strongly recommend them.

I'm disappointed because it's not what it used to be
3/5

Check out the most recent information! After ten years, two continents, and countless miles trekking through 120-degree deserts, rivers, and over boulders the size of houses, digging my truck out of the snow and mud, stomping heads in the mosh pit, and working 10-hour days, I'm ready for the next adventure. 12 hour shifts as a bartender/barback in Las Vegas casinos and strip joints (OMG, the fluids these have seen! I've spent more than a few nights escaping from enraged husbands, enraged hookers, enraged lovers, and people who couldn't take a joke. My old pair is being retired because, like a few of my ex-girlfriends, the soles have worn out. br>br>I bought another pair because I don't do nearly as much of that stuff as I used to (yaa Adulthood), and I'm willing to bet the next pair I buy will be in 20 years. So, until next time, take care. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> I'm disappointed in these boots. The construction quality is no longer what it once was. They look and feel terrible after a year of primarily sitting in an office and doing light yard work. I'm almost ready to throw them away. I suppose it's time I switched to Durashocks.

After a month, it's still very good

See the 9/2018 update for more information. People said these boots helped with plantar fasciitis, so I decided to get them. They do, in fact, They have a stiff sole and little padding, so I'm not sure I'd buy them. My foot pain was reduced by half after the first day of wearing it. They probably prevent you from over-flexing your foot. I spend a lot of time on ladders, which I believe prevents my feet from arching over the rungs. Bring your old boots to work because they have stiff leather that needs to break in. They're great after a few days of breaking in. The stiff upper collar caused pressure on the sides of my legs at first, but this went away after the fifth wear. I'd like to see these boots with nylon mesh sides to make them more comfortable. br>br>Update: After two months of use, the fabric on the inside of the boot's heel developed holes. It's made out of a mesh with holes in it. Why don't you use leather for them? Two photos of both boots with torn fabric on the inside heel are enclosed. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b Update. My feet are now starting to hurt on the front balls of my feet after wearing these for a few months. The pain from planters fasciitis has lessened, but it is still present. I'm going to give them another month or so before I have to replace these. The rating was reduced from four to three stars.

ON THE FIRST DAY, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SOLE! These boots came in two pairs for me: Over the course of a year, I used one pair on and off
3/5

Driving a farm tractor is something I do maybe once a month. They were very well-fitting and comfortable. One of the soles on one of them began to come apart at the seams after about a year. It was a letdown and a sign of sloppy/cheap work. I took out a second box of exact pairs to use while my other pair was being repaired by a shoemaker. br>ON THE FIRST DAY, I wore the second pair only for a few minutes while doing some off-the-beaten-path work. The left sole of my shoe came completely unglued and was flapping around while I was driving and walking on the road. Only the toe appears to be stitched to the shoe's sole! And only a few stitches (4? ), to boot. ) in that case. This is inexcusable for any kind of shoe! As a result, I'd classify these as PURE JUNK and useless. They might hold up if a shoemaker/repairman could properly stitch the entire sole of glue. They must be avoided in their current state!.

It is not possible to remove the insoles
3/5

These boots are adequate for my needs. I spend a lot of time walking on stone and steel. The soles are still in tact nearly a year after purchase, which is surprising considering it's a much less expensive boot than what I've previously purchased. br>The problem is, these are extremely uncomfortable to walk in on stone with. Everything I step on makes an impression on me. I wanted to get some Dr. School's gels to put in, but the insole couldn't be removed, so I decided to wear them for a while until the insole was pushed down far enough to allow a gel insole to be placed on top. br>I didn't realize it had been nearly a year since I purchased the gel insoles, but I finally did. My first day with them will be today, and they are a little tight, but necessary if you plan on walking on stone or ballast with them. br>They've held up well, but I wish the insole was either more comfortable or removable so that I could replace it as soon as I bought them.
