Questions & Answers
After nearly cutting off my toe with a chainsaw, I needed something that could withstand it. br>I had to return these boots because they were too big for my calf. They're something I'd like to keep. Before purchasing, make sure you can return them if you have a large calf. br>If they come out with a model for large calfs, I'll be the first to buy them! br>Climbing trees is still too bulky.
Is it possible to alter the spikes?

My husband and I each purchased a pair of these boots because (a) they were the cheapest chainsaw boots I could find, and (b) they were the only ones in a size that was close to small enough for my feet. I usually wear a size 6 shoe. a total of five women's or a total of four women's 5 men's. If I wear my thickest socks, the smallest size available, a 6 men's, fits fine. My husband, who usually wears a size 11, was wearing a size 11 this time. 5 wide, he says the standard width 12 is sufficient for him. They are quite heavy for me, but if you are a large man rather than a small woman, this may not be an issue for you. Unfortunately (or fortunately), I haven't had the opportunity to test the cut protection's effectiveness.
These are fantastic. I used them for logging because I'm a choker setter/hooker, and they were perfect for wearing with my liners (which I ordered two sizes up for) all winter in the North Idaho Mountains! My caulks are in good shape and are the same as those on my regular boots. I'm sure they'll get me through another winter without difficulty. I'd buy from them again in a heartbeat.
Excellent construction boots; not sure if they'll hold up to hiking, but they appear to be adequate for any heavy work.
At some point, I'm going to put a gel sole in it, which is highly recommended!.
The spikes provide excellent traction and grip while working, far better than the Husqvarna boots! The boots are fantastic.
The upper lacings around my leg are extremely tight, which is my only complaint about the boots. To relieve the pressure on the top, I had to trim the rubber flap in the back.
It's perfect. It's the right fit. The item was well-made and exactly what my husband required.
