Questions & Answers

What factories produce them?

china. I used to have Carhartts that were made in China and they were great, but I wouldn't buy them again because they aren't as comfortable.

How well do these shoes' soles hold up? I'm not interested in a boot with a peeling sole after a year. ?

I've had them for about 18 months as an industrial electrician. I've climbed ladders, stairwells, concrete, asphalt, gravel, oil, gasoline, ice, broken glass, and more on them. Working days are ten hours long for me. I'm a little too big. The footwear has performed admirably. I'm hoping to cycle in a second pair so that the first ones can last for another 24 months. For me, the sole does not peel away. Almost all of the traction has vanished.

I couldn't wear the boots because they were too big for me. My toes were rubbing against the composite toe. They were taken away from me.

Is it possible to wash them?

They're not waterproof, like most leather boots, but that's easily fixed with some WD-40. 40 Alternatively, you could use a different waterproofing agent.

Attempts and Tests in Extreme Environments A little background information: br>I'm a mechanical engineer who works in the manufacturing industry
5/5

At least once a day, I have a task that requires the use of electricity. It's a perfect world out there. It's 1°F and 84°F outside. There is no humidity at all. This temperature remains constant throughout the year. There may be inches of standing water on the floor at times during production. The Review: br>br> br>I can honestly say that I would recommend these boots to friends, and my employer will reimburse me up to $130 for any pair of electrically rated, safety toe boots that I purchase. Last year, I decided to purchase these Carhartt boots as a replacement for my free pair. I didn't miss a single day of work, and I put in a lot of overtime (up to 80 hours per week). I put a lot of wear and tear on these boots. br>br>However, let me tell you that not only did the tread last, but they were also waterproof until the last day I wore them. I replaced them with the exact same boot, as you can see in the photos. br>br>Although I can't be certain, I'm confident that these boots have saved me from a 480V zap at least once. You should take everything you work on with you. Working on energized equipment without a reason is for people who want to die. Thank you for reading my review. br>br>.

GET READY FOR YOUR NEXT JOB! This boot is fantastic! I work as a painter and have been wearing these for the past seven months on concrete floors, scaffolding, and ladders, so they get a lot of use! Steel toes are uncomfortable and callous my toes, so I prefer composite toes because they are more comfortable and light
5/5

Once a month, I clean and polish them, but that's it. All stitching is still in good condition, and the insoles and interior are clean and free of rips. The tread on the soles is still quite sticky. The soles of all of the other brands I've worn are worn out at this point. On the second set of laces, but that is to be expected. One of the most durable and long-lasting pairs of boots I've ever owned. I'm not sure about the insulation qualities because I live in New Zealand, where winters are mild but damp, but they appear to be fairly watertight in wet weather. I bought a pair for one of my guys, and he really likes them! So I'm not the only one who thinks this way!.

These boots are great, but don't buy them on Amazon unless you like your shoes to squeak when you walk! These are usually my husband's work boots, which he wears for 12 hours a day
3/5

Even the big name brands, which my husband has tried, can't compare to the cushion in the boots. However, the boot squeaks when he weals for no apparent reason since I bought these on Amazon (twice now). This has happened to me twice now, and both times I purchased the items from Amazon. I used to buy everything from big-name department stores and never had any problems. I'm sorry, but I wasn't able to re-order from Amazon. Due to a defect in the shoe, I will be purchasing these from here again. That is not an issue with any other reputable retailer where I purchase these. Bottom line: Buy these at a reputable department store rather than Amazon. My entire family wears these fantastically comfortable and supportive boots on hard, heavy-duty construction sites. We've been wearing these for 7 years and wouldn't buy anything else— except from Amazon, unless you don't mind squeaking your way around the job site. Thank you, but no!.

Carhartt was a waste of money for me
3/5

Carhartt is the last place I'll ever spend my money. The toe leather separated from the rubber after a month of wearing these boots. I figured I couldn't return them because I wore them every day at work. I purchased these in May 2020, and it is now June 2021, and the heel sole has completely detached from the boot. This is the third pair of the same model boot that I've purchased. I adored the first two pairs. On the bottom of my sole, I wore them to nothing. My second pair lasted a little longer, but the waterproofing failed, and I can't stand having my feet wet. The worst of all the pairs was this one. Each pair was a step backwards from the previous one. My three-year-old jacket is falling apart, while my father's 20-year-old jacket looks better than mine, and I'm tired of squandering my money. Carhartt, you should be ashamed of yourself. Manufacturing was outsourced to China by a truly great American company. Your entire product line is now a waste of time. Fire your quality control officer and start over.

These were a replacement for my boyfriend's Redwing boots, which cost $200, but we were looking for a less expensive option
4/5

Although the toe is a little larger than he prefers, it does not prevent him from wearing them. They're light for work boots, so if you're looking for something heavy, these aren't the ones for you. Despite being lighter than his previous pair, the soles have a lot of traction and provide excellent arch support; it's critical for him to replace his boots on a regular basis because he is on his feet for 10 hours a day. We'll see how these hold up over a 12-hour shift.

It took a few days to get them used to each other
5/5

So when I got these, I put them on right away and wore them around the house for a while; they were stiff, which I expected given that they were all leather. They were also extremely hard in the footbed, and I was convinced I had made a huge error. I wore them to work the next day, hoping they'd break in, and I expected to be miserable by the end of the day. They were surprisingly comfortable, and I no longer have "tired feet" or the beginnings of plantar fasciitis that I had with my old Carhartt force boots (2 years old). I can't speak to the durability, but they're very comfortable, and they broke in nicely after a few days of wear. They also had those tough ropes with them. Like laces, which no one likes because they don't stay tied, but these do. br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased with them and would purchase them again based on my brief experience with them.

Excellent in every way- Boots with a specific function! (This product is not water resistant
4/5

) Get some softer inner soles; they've already saved my feet on multiple occasions, and it's only been a week! Despite the company's claims of a comfortable inner sole, the inner soles are thin and hard. The grip is excellent and has no issue on dusty sites; however, the composite is thick, strong, but light and non-conducive. Take note of the following: This particular model of boot is not water resistant. While this isn't a problem for me, you might want to look into other water-resistant options. The leather is attractive, as is the interior lining. At work, I move medium to heavy objects and cover the back of my heel with duct tape. After a day, the boot's inner seam would repeatedly rip my socks open. The tape allows the sock to slip a little under pressure, which is nice, and the ankle support is moderate but not strong. Overall, it's a fantastic work shoe that's a significant improvement over Timberlands PRO series!.
