I don't write many reviews and instead prefer to rate them. So I placed my order on Friday and received it the next day, which was great. It arrived in a well-packaged box with a small instruction manual, which you don't need if you have some common sense. So the only reason I gave the materials a four-star rating is because the chrome piece on the mic boom came off right out of the box, and I replaced it only to have it fall off and be lost. It's not a big deal because it's purely decorative and has no bearing on functionality. So, after having other headsets fail or sound terrible on both ends, this one far exceeded my expectations. Everyone can hear me, but not everything else in the background, unless my truck's stereo is turned up loud, and I can hear them and anything else I play through it. The most important factor is play time; most of the headsets I've owned required charging after 4 or 12 hours of use, but this one, with almost continuous play or talk time throughout the day, lasted me almost three full days at 14 hours of music and or talking. I forgot to turn it off a few times, but it still performed well beyond my expectations. Is this something I'd consider purchasing again? Sure, why not? It does, for lack of a better term, "clamp" it to your head, but it keeps it in place when I'm throwing load straps or chains. My ear does sweat a little, but that's only because I've had it on my head for hours. br>Update Feb 8 2020br>Still going strong with exceptional performance and long battery life. I'm a truck driver, so I use it a lot and even listen to music while securing my load on my flatbed. I charge this maybe once a week at most, and I've gone up to 12 days without charging it. That's even with it being turned on while I'm sleeping. My mic boom is a little loose and doesn't always stay where I need it, but people can still hear me, so I can't complain after a year and a half of continuous use. In the same amount of time, one of my trucking buddies has gone through two name brand ones.
I decided to buy four different models for a headphone after several disappointing experiences with cell phone headsets. (as well as the ears) a comparison of the ears They were all Bluetooth wireless, and I tested them out primarily with my iPhone SE while driving down the highway talking to my wife, as well as listening to iTunes music and a couple of AM radio stations with the Simple Radio app. I didn't test for durability, battery life, or how long the battery could hold a charge because these were all fairly basic tests right out of the box. Here's what I discovered. . . br>br>Logitech H800 – the most expensive phone on the market, but with the worst performance. My wife complained that she could hear all of the car's background noise, and that my voice was slurred. Her voice had a hazy quality to it, as well. This was the most comfortable and stylish headset I tried, and it worked with iTunes and the radio just fine. The PC option was not considered. [2 stars]br>br>The winner was Willful M20. My wife claimed that the mic was quite sensitive, and that she could clearly hear me with only minor fuzz. She could also hear the grandkids in the background (they were in the back seat), but there was no road noise or sounds from the air conditioner, which was blowing directly on the mic. Her voice sounded clear to me, with only a little fuzziness. With simple controls and an indicator light, it was reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable. It worked with iTunes and the radio without a hitch. YAMAY Wireless Headphones (BH-1) [5 stars]br>br>YAMAY Wireless Headphones (BH-1) [5 stars]br>br>YAMAY Wireless Headphones ( M32) – this came in second place. The phone's performance was clear in both directions, with a little more fuzz than the M20. I found the ear muffs to be extremely comfortable and effective in blocking out background noise. With iTunes and the radio, it was fine. The multi-faceted The function button worked fine, but the LED indicator was also in the button, so when you press it to operate the headset, your finger covers both the button and the LED, making it difficult to see (I found this frustrating at times). If you don't want to use Bluetooth, this unit has a cord-connection option (which I didn't test). [4 stars]br>br>Truck Driver Bluetooth Headset (BH-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX M16) – the same as the BH-M16. M32 is similar to M32, but it only has one ear muff rather than two. A pad on the other side of your head, near the other ear, holds the device in place. I didn't care for the feel of this one and preferred the two-ear design, but I'm sure having an uncovered ear would be useful if you're talking with someone else in the car. It lacks the ability to connect to a power source. [3 stars].
So, this isn't the kind of headset to wear while shopping at the mall. Fortunately, I only use it in my home office (skype, phone calls, and so on). I'm sure it'll work just fine for driving. Although I've only had it for a few days, the battery life appears to be adequate. This is a LOT more relaxing than the 19. Over-the-head headsets with a 99-piece metal band. This is snug but not overly so. BE AWARE. This is a headset that is worn on the ear. The earpiece does not cover the entire ear canal. It is positioned on top of the ear. Even with comfortable headsets like this one, on-the-go connectivity is still a must. After an hour or two, earphones become irritating. For the price, the sound quality is adequate. The connection is simple, and the range is adequate. When listening to music, I'm about 25 feet away. During a phone call, I've never wandered so far. Overall, this is an excellent deal!.
Noise cancellation is a great feature of this product. I use it in my 18-wheeler with the windows down so my wife can hear me clearly.
