It is stated in the product description that it is made of wood; however, it is not stated that it is primarily made of plastic and is formaldehyde-coated! It's both offensive and deceptive. Amazon refused to accept the return, so I threw it away. Goodness.
The toy is appealing to Baby, but the wooden portion has splinters on the edges, which I will have to sand before allowing him to play with it.
My 7-month-old daughter adores anything that makes a noise and can be chewed. This was the ideal blend of the two, and it was also reasonably priced! I like how the little bells on the tambourine are enclosed in durable plastic to reduce the risk of one falling off and her choking when I gave it to her. br>I like how it is mostly natural product being used and I like how the little bells on the tambourine are enclosed in durable plastic to reduce the risk of one falling off and her choking when I gave it to her. br>br>Fun product that the baby approves of!.
This is the first toy that my four-month-old son has shown sustained interest in—he'll sit in his bouncer for twenty minutes at a time shaking and giggling at it. It's a little big, but it's easy to hold. Because he shakes it so hard, he occasionally hits himself in the face with it, but I believe that would be true of any similarly shaped plastic toy.
It's a nice little toy, and it's well-made. Keep in mind that babies like to swing it around, which can result in self-inflicted boo boos (due to the hard plastic).
The rattle is so cute! I enjoy playing the piano, xylophone, and drums with Baby Einstein's wooden musical toys. So I had to get this wooden tambourine for my new baby as soon as I saw it. Since she was a newborn, my baby has yet to use it. As a result, I have no idea how she'll react. I was concerned that the metal disks would cut her, but they are protected by a layer of plastic. I'm excited for the day she can put it to use.
There is a yellow smudge on the front of this item as soon as you take it out of the package. Normally, I wouldn't be bothered, but I'm aware that this will end up in the mouth of my baby. The handle and the back of the toy have also been scuffed. Although the rings are encased in plastic, they are not clean when examined closely. It makes me doubt the product's quality, and I'm hesitant to give it to my child because of it.
This is a fun toy for me. When my daughter was six months old, I first introduced her to it. I had to take it away because it was difficult; the problem was that she would shake it and it would occasionally hit her head because she was still learning how to coordinate her movements. She loves it now that she's seven months old and uses it to play and teethe. I keep it in her diaper bag because it's small and convenient for when we're out and about.
