Questions & Answers

Is it possible to attach it to the gym mat of your child? Is he in need of a variety of toys that he can attach to his gym? This appears to be an entertaining activity. I'd love to be directed if you have anything else musical or light-up that I could clip on to his baby gym or car seat. Julie, I appreciate it. ?

Yes, it attaches to the wall. My child adores it and happily spends hours upon hours playing with it. I used to have some Baby Einstein toys that played music but didn't clip. This is a toy I strongly suggest.

Is it possible to machine wash Freddie on the delicate cycle and then air dry him? dried?

I haven't tried it yet, but I believe it would destroy the toy's "plastic mirror" feature. I'd just wash it by hand with a gentle soap and let it air dry.

Is there any BPA or phthalates in this product?

This toy does not contain BPA or Phthalates. Before making a purchase, I double-checked with the manufacturer.

What makes "Fifi" the Firefly different from "Freddie"? Fifi appears to be the "newer" model, but there are no differences or improvements that I can see?

There is a slight color difference between what I see and what I think I see. Fifi's body is painted in softer/pastel colors, whereas Freddie's is painted in darker colors, which I assume they consider more masculine. My 4-month-old grandson, on the other hand, enjoys it.

Black dye bleeds, so be careful
3/5

My 7-month-old's tongue was stained black by the fabric dye. To make sure he was safe, I called poison control. They said the toy was faulty due to a manufacturing defect because a teething toy shouldn't bleed dye like that. He also didn't suck on it for a long time. I'll need to contact Amazon to alert the seller or manufacturer of the problem.

If you want to give your baby some fun while giving yourself a break, this is a must-have item
5/5

BUY THIS NOW if you want your child to have a good time while you enjoy a full cup of coffee for the first time since your child was born. We have the Montessori inspired, relatively instagrammable (though I don't use IG) Lovevery activity mat because I'm a millennial with annoying millennial mom tendencies. My three-month-old daughter frequently fusses after a few minutes, and it takes some helicoptering to get it right. After we received Fifi, I clipped her to one of the hanging bobbles, and my baby played happily and mostly independently for FORTY FIVE MINUTES. This was also before her bedtime, and she'd been awake for more than an hour. It's never happened before. Fifi is, without a doubt, a visual nightmare. Fifi, on the other hand, is the best value for money you'll find. My baby is happier when she's with Fifi. Fifi demonstrated to me that my baby can easily entertain herself. Fifi gave me the impression that I was a successful mother. BUY FIFI.

For a four-month-old, this is a fun toy
5/5

I bought this for my 4-month-old for tummy time and car rides because he had just started grabbing and holding on to toys. "Man, they really stuck every distracting thing they could fit on that toy," my husband joked when I opened the package, and he was right! The entire toy crinkles, and it includes a squeaker, a mirror, rings, and a teether on one side and black and white colors on the other. It's a toy that can be used in a variety of ways and keeps you entertained. According to the instructions on the package, you should surface-clean the product. Only clean, but I threw it in the washer as soon as I got it (I wash everything that comes into contact with my baby's mouth first), and it washed beautifully on the delicate cycle and dried quickly.

This Excellent Sensory Toy is a Hit with My Daughter! This toy has already captured the attention of my almost three-month-old daughter
5/5

It's an excellent sensory tool with crinkly noises, a squeaker, a tethered teething piece, rings, and a mirror (albeit not very clear, but that's understandable). The colors are also bright and cheery, and I like how the black and white on the backside of the wings and as the eyes on the firefly's face contrast so well. She's particularly fond of black and white patterns, as I discovered when she kept following my geometric phone cover around. br>br>The toy's designer(s) have a great understanding of kids. She enjoys touching, kicking, tasting, grabbing, staring at, and pulling on this toy. It also works well in the car, attached to her car seat handle, and even serves as a distraction during crying episodes when she is unable to be removed from her car seat. br>br>This is a toy that I would strongly recommend!.

This toy is absolutely adored by Baby Girl - However, keep an eye out for flaws in the production process
5/5

This toy was a big hit with my baby girl. It was the most popular Lamaze toy. She's had it since she was about 3 months old, and it was HUGE in comparison to her size; she's now 6 months old, and it's still a big toy in her car seat, but she loves the crinkle sounds it makes, and she chews on the antennae and rings (especially the white one). She hasn't gotten into the squeaky on the wing, and the ladybug bite plate hasn't piqued her interest. She prefers to gnaw on the head, wings, and white clip. Now, I do have a few issues with this product, which we have now purchased TWO of. The first one started to tear on the fabric strip that holds the white clip/ring to Freddie's head soon after I received it. I initially assumed it was due to Sofia's zeal, but I now believe it was simply a case of faulty stitching. Hand washing is the only way to clean this toy, which is fine; however, you will notice that the white is no longer as white as it once was due to the, what I assume are flexible metal or plastic pieces inside the wings - They leave dingy coloring "strips" behind. This isn't a major issue; it's just something I thought was worth mentioning because Freddie doesn't appear to be as clean as he used to, even after a bath. Because we thought we'd lost Freddie, we needed to make a second purchase. That's a significant achievement! So, Freddie 2 arrives, and as I'm cutting the little plastic tag strip to free him from the cardboard, I notice a fairly large hole where the plastic strip used to be - Freddie's head had a seam close to it. So, we've arrived at Freddie 2 and he's already damaged. I'm debating whether or not I should sew it up or return him - What a pain in the neck. We also paid about $3 more for Freddie 2 for some reason, despite the fact that both were purchased on Amazon months apart. In the end, Freddie the Firefly has been a fantastic toy for our daughter, and I would highly recommend him - after the failures of others Lamaze Captain Calamari has been lying around for as long as Freddie 1 and is only now attracting a smidgeon of interest (nominal), according to Lamaze Tug. Attempt to tie a knot after dangling in front of her for a few months, and Lamaze Flutterbug - When there's nothing else to do, she's getting a teeny-tiny bit interested in this one. My only advice is that if you get Freddie, thoroughly inspect him for manufacturing flaws and return him if you find any, because your baby will most likely adore him and you will want him to last.

It was a great time
5/5

It's much bigger than I anticipated, which is fantastic! Our son enjoys peering into the mirror beneath it and listening to the crinkles. Even though he's three months old, he's still too small to hold this big toy. The tentacles are just the right size for his small hands, and he enjoys the variety of sounds and textures. However, at the moment, the top portion is simply too large and heavy. I'm sure he'll play with it a lot once he can hold on to it. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: Our child has now reached the age of four years. This is his favorite toy at the age of five months. It isn't as big as it once was. He has no trouble grasping the tentacles and enjoys chewing on their various textures. He now has a good grasp of the top part and enjoys staring and babbling at it. He enjoys stuffing the hat portion into his mouth and yelling at it (whatever makes you happy, buddy). It's a fantastic toy in general. It's the one we always bring with us when we go somewhere.
