I got this today, and it's not what I expected. Paint is used on the darkest round beads. I had assumed that this toy was made of three different types of wood rather than being painted. The long post beads are also lighter in color than the photo's rich, warm wood tone. It appears to be in good condition. My kids aren't rough with things, so it should last a long time if used properly. I'd be shocked if the painted beads never scratched or chipped. This colorway was more expensive than the all-natural wood tone version. I don't believe the higher price was justified, and I consider Manhattan Toy to be a high-quality brand, so these two differences caught me off guard.
I have twins, but I'm a Montessori mom at heart, and I believe in the philosophy of "less is more. " I don't buy duplicate toys for my kids because I think it's wasteful, but this is the ONE toy I've ever considered doing so for. It has a strong hold on both of my children. I am completely enamored with this toy. br>br>I'm going to dock half a star because this toy is more expensive because it's made of wood. look. The non- wood- It costs about $6 less to look at the version. I was happy to pay a little more for the wood look, but I was disappointed to discover that the darker beads were painted rather than stained. The toy's functionality is not harmed as a result of this. Overall, it looks and feels great, and it's a lot of fun for my kids to play with. This is going to be my new go-to outfit. a present for a baby.
This toy is a hit with my 3-month-old! It's simple for her to grasp, makes a fantastic clanking sound, and is large enough for her to grab even while lying on her back. She stuffs all of the small end knobs into her mouth and chews on them as a teether. I'm afraid one of the end beads will pop off and become a choking hazard, so I inspect it before giving it to her and don't leave her alone with it. Having said that, it is well-made and feels solid. It goes well with the natural, Montessori, or Waldorf-inspired toys I give her. In the future, I'll definitely buy these for gifts.
It's a big hit with my babe. She enjoys watching the toggles move when she shakes the toy, and it's light weight and easy to hold and chew on. The elastics make it soft enough that I don't have to worry about my baby injuring herself.
This toy is absolutely incredible. My 5-month-old daughter adores it, and it's large enough for her to reach in the car seat by herself. We recently went on a trip, and I overloaded the diaper bag, which compacted beautifully and popped back into shape when I let it go. I purchased one for my new baby niece, and her parents appeared to enjoy it as well. This is my daughter's current favorite toy, and my three-year-old son enjoys playing with her as well. Because one of the sticks has a lot of writing on it, I'm not convinced this is a genuine toy and not a knockoff, but even if it is, the quality is excellent.
This was an excellent find! It was one of the first toys we tried with our newborn, and she is now 3 months old and can still watch it for about 10 minutes without getting tired of it. stop. It has a pleasant, quiet tone to it that isn't overpowering. On the Baby shelf, it also looks nice and classy. She's working on holding it now, and it's quite simple to grasp. Adults enjoy it as well, and spend a significant amount of time studying it when they come to visit.
This is something I really enjoy. I paid a bit more for the all-inclusive package. I wanted a beautiful wooden version, so I went with that. It's absolutely breathtaking. When my son is not using it, I place it on a shelf as a decorative item. He enjoys chewing on it while holding it. I believe he is annoyed that the wooden balls do not "give" in any way. I can't say it could be better because of what it is, but I believe he still prefers his silicone chewies. He has two teeth and is seven months old.
When I read the reviews and saw that this was their baby's favorite toy, I laughed, but it's true. This is the toy that I require two of in order to ensure that we do not lose it. Because the cords are like bungees, he can grab them from any angle. They're also light and flexible. The inside balls slide up and down the cords like a rattle when the baby shakes it. The outside balls are ideal for them to bite on. Great toy with the added bonus of being attractive!.
