It is remarkable how grippy it is. A tin can hybrid car kept me safe during a blizzard in the mountains of Colorado.
Generally a good tire for its price. Have to say it's a bit too noisy for summer, but overall a good tire during the winter time.
I live in Colorado and this works great no matter what the weather is like. During the recent blizzards, has done a fantastic job. It has never been necessary for me to use chains since installing my front wheel drive car. I am very happy with the purchase!.
I highly recommend them for winter driving. The highways are lined with concrete, so the trucks move in a sideways motion. Like railway tracks, the grooves in the road get in the way. In the case of asphalt you will not.
It is amazing how much they get around during the winter on these tires.
It turns out that two tires had holes caused by nails. We will not purchase tires through Amazon in the future.
This tire has been run for three winters and it still has 8/32 tread remaining. Snow is not an issue for them. With the good front drive Toyota, I'm better able to control the vehicle than some SUVs with crappy "all-season" The next time I buy, I'll buy it.
