At the price point, my expectations were pretty low, but after driving another car on Hakkapeliittas, I was eager to try Nokian's budget offering. I wasn't let down. br>br> Having two identical winter cars (first-generation Honda Insights), I was able to compare the General Altimax Arctic and the Nordman 7 on the same platform. There isn't one. It's like the difference between night and day. While I haven't yet invested in a pair of Hakkas, I don't believe there is much room for improvement over the Nordmans. They connect well and perform admirably for a 20-inch wheel. year- old econobox, and it won't cost you a fortune. Another Insight to whom I have access uses Dunlop winter tires, which compare favorably to the Generals, though the advantage isn't as great. br>br>Unfortunately, I did not take advantage of the opportunity to obtain objective data, but others did - The results of third-party tests are backed up by my "butt dyno. " It's all good.
The tires are amazing. I installed them on my Mitsubishi Mirage and they look fantastic. For a front-wheel-drive vehicle, it has excellent traction in the snow. All of the difference is in the tread. There are no studs in place, but studs can be added later. Highly recommended, and it's less expensive than getting it directly from Mitsubishi! You get a lot of bang for your buck.
The price is excellent, and the quality is excellent. These tires are far superior to the ones we bought from the dealer.
They're fantastic and of very high quality.
Excellent value for money!.
