During the winter, they are very effective at stopping. I've never had such a great time riding with tires. During the winter, they are very effective at stopping. Also, unlike other snow tires, they don't have a rough feel to them.
Excellent seller and product.
These tires do a good job. Because I bought it locally, this is a product review rather than an Amazon review. I live in Northern Maine, where the winters are notoriously harsh. I've put these tires through their paces on every type of cold-weather surface I could think of. Slush, ice on top of packed snow, and black ice. Snow that is loose, wet, or granular. They are effective. If you can't get there with these tires, you'll be able to get there with better handling, forward traction, braking, and so on. It's not a good idea for you to go there. I work as an over-the-road sales representative, and I travel between 1000 and 1500 miles per week. I've used a variety of studded snows, the best of which was Armstrong Norseman, which is no longer in production. These studless tires outperform everything I've tried previously. Mine are installed on a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. It's almost like being behind the wheel of a small high-speed tractor. I would recommend these tires to anyone who has to deal with cold weather and icy conditions. When the temperature rises above 45 degrees F on a regular basis, it's time to take it out. In hot weather, the softer compound will wear out quickly.
