It detaches itself. The ball is sufficiently spring-loaded to keep the socket in place on the adapter. The socket will pop off if you pull on it.
Any socket with a 1/2" drive will suffice.
These aren't magnetic, so don't expect to find them.
If you have a 1/2-inch diameter hole, you can use it to make a half- If you have a 1/2-inch socket set and a 1/2-inch impact gun, you'll be fine. Yes, if it's an inch. No, your impact gun and sockets will not work together if they are not the same size. You can't, for example, use a 1/2-inch drill bit. Combine a 1 inch impact gun with 3/4 inch sockets, and so on for any other sizes. Both the sockets and the impact gun must be of equal size.

This is a complete waste of time. The first time I used it, it fell apart. Dewalt is a brand I will never buy again.
A few years ago, I purchased this set. I've held off on reviewing it because the rest of these sockets are tested after they've been used in a variety of situations over time, and to say they've passed that test would be an understatement. In addition, if you ignore the outside of the case, there are very few signs of wear. I've used them for everything from golf cart lug nuts to framing structural connections. br>I've tried using standard sockets with my impact wrench, but they don't hold up well, especially after a lot of use when things start to sound off. I wish this kit came with a tstak container or if there was a container where you could store this set as well as the sizes that are sold separately.
As an electrician, I use these with my impact gun to install electrical equipment, such as uni struts, ground clamps on the ground ring, and corns. I also use them when working on my car. They are a fantastic investment and are of excellent quality. Keep in mind that they have a half-inch drive and that the impact half-inch drive is included.
I'd recommend a different set because I like Dewalt, but this one doesn't have much in the way of tools. It's good quality for what you get, but the case is terrible. Hopefully, if you purchase this, you will also receive a tool box, allowing you to discard the case as soon as possible. It's difficult to put your sockets back in the case because of the strange way it's made.
These are some of the best impact sockets I've ever used; I have three sets of Dewalt impact sockets, each of which gets a lot of use. They're extremely durable, and they're all neatly packaged in a nice, sturdy case (which is also easy to remove). Sockets are also easy to read, so there's no need to squint to figure out how big they are.
When it's no longer effective. It's going to be a game of guessing! Apart from that, br>br> The case is well-made, with two sturdy latches and a see-through window that allows you to see what's inside. especially when you're dealing with a 15-person group. There are twenty options available. br>br>Overall, the sockets have performed admirably, with a good fit on each nut size. br>br> With the exception of the above-mentioned exception, this is an excellent set!.
When I received this item, it was damaged. I enjoy shopping on Amazon because it is so convenient, and I have always been pleased with my purchases. This product is an outlier, and I find it hard to believe that Amazon would allow this seller to sell damaged goods as new. Three of the pins that allow the sockets to swing in and out of position while keeping the toolbox organized were sheared off completely. If anyone wants to double-check my information, they can look at the time stamps on the photos I submitted, which were taken just hours after the delivery receipt was received.
