Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use these to remove small fish bones?

These are the best tool you'll ever find for removing small fish bones from "fillets," as I've used them numerous times. They're accurate, powerful, and simple to use.br>br> Great!

Xuron 405S has a straight nose in the picture, but the description says it has a bent nose. Is there a bend in the nose?

This is a straight nose plier with serrated edges, as shown in the image. We informed Amazon of the error, and we are hopeful that the listing will be corrected.

I've got the end of a headphone connector stuck in the iPad's audio jack, and I'm trying to figure out if it's small enough. ?

These pliers are designed to work with soft metals. The jaws may be damaged if you try to twist and pull something hard and thick, such as a 2d penny nail. However, if you simply pull, you may have a chance. The jaws of my iPad are slightly smaller than the diameter of the headphone jack hole when closed. I doubt you'll be able to stick the jaws in and open them inside the jack hole to grab something if the piece is in too deep. However, if you try to wedge the jaws against the jack plug's inner wall, you might be able to pry it free. Actually, it's difficult to say whether or not it will work because we don't know what the broken part in the jack hole looks like. Have you tried prying it out with toothpicks or BBQ sticks? Make something you can tape to a vacuum hose to take the edge off. These may seem silly, but I'm just trying to come up with some creative solutions to your problem that are both inexpensive and non-destructive.

Will the jaw of these pliers be able to remove snapped off key(s) from a passage lock (e.g., a door lock)? Schlage)?

With as little as 1/16" of material to hold onto, they can grasp quite well with their very tip. So, if you have a broken key with a stub sticking out of the lock, these pliers are the way to go. And once you've figured out how to solve this problem, they'll have thousands of other applications. Best wishes to you.

Serrations and machining are very small and average
4/5

These are very small and I've found them to be extremely useful, despite the fact that I purchased the Hakko CHP PN-100. Micro Pliers with Smooth Jaws, M Steel Super Specialty Pointed Nose, 1. 0mm Nose at the same time, because of the serrations, I've used these whenever I've needed a small pair of pliers. The construction quality is excellent, but the machining is only fair. The jaws are perfectly aligned side to side, but they don't sit flush against each other, resulting in a decent-looking gap. They have a significant distance between them. This is partially due to the fact that they are serrated, but I've seen much larger serrated pliers that match up better. And, because you'll be working with small items, you'll want the jaws to be as close together as possible. Which brings me to my other complaint about them: There are only side-to-side serrations. Because of this, as well as the gap between the jaws, stuff slips right through them if you grip from the side (i. e. You'll be fine if you grip a wire parallel to the jaws, but good luck if you grip it perpendicular to them). If the serrations were in a cross-hatch pattern, it would be a lot more interesting They'd work much better if they were hatched or even diagonal, with one jaw pointing one way and the other pointing the other. Furthermore, as shown below, the thickness of the two jaws differs significantly. Here are the measurements (taken with a digital caliper) for anyone who needs them: br>br> br>br>Width of jaw: ~1. At the tip, the length is 21mm, and the width is 2mm. The inner end of the gripping section (the inner portion of the jaws) measures 63mm. This is a completely subjective measurement)br>Jaw height: 70mm/6. 55mm between them, 0 99 millimeter 76mm at the tips (each one is slightly different), 3. 04/3. At the inner end, each jaw is 32mm long. br>Jaw length: ~18. 7mm to the point where they curve outbr>br>And, for comparison, here are the measurements for the previously mentioned Hakko pliers: br>br>Width of jaw: ~1. At the tip, 15mm, and 1. Jaw height: 99mm at the inner end of the gripping section (inner portion of jaws)br>Jaw width: 99mm at the inner end of the gripping section (inner portion of jaws)br>Jaw length: 99mm at the inner end 26mm/4. 0. 21mm apart, 21mm together 53 millimeter 62mm at each of the tips (slightly different for each), 2. At the inner end, both have a diameter of 27mm. br>Jaw length: To the point where they curve out, they are 12mm thick.

This is extremely beneficial
5/5

I used these to remove a broken RCA plug from an RCA jack on a subwoofer belonging to a friend. For the previous week, I had been tinkering with it on and off. I literally just got these and was able to get it out in a matter of seconds on the first try! br> They appear to be well-made as well as long-lasting. As this was my first time using them, only time will tell. If you needed something like this on a regular basis, I'm sure they'd last a long time if you didn't "bite off more than they can chew. " Haha. They were a little pricey, but I believe they were well worth it because they will undoubtedly be useful in the future. br> What sets these apart from the competition is the serrated jaws, which are ideal for extracting small, slick, hard-to-reach objects that are firmly stuck in place. br> It's probably best to just get these because having the right tool for the job makes a lot of things easier.

Jewelry makers and other hobbyists will find this a must-have
5/5

Everyone who makes jewelry has a list of must-have items, particularly in terms of tools. I began with the bare essentials and gradually increased my skill set. These were recommended by one of my favorite teachers, and I immediately purchased them. As you can see, I already have a pair and have had them for several years (of very heavy use). I love them, they're very sturdy, the grip is perfect, they're a must have, and they're made in the United States, so you're supporting American workers. Nothing compares, and I always have them in my hand; you can even make perfect loops. My husband attempted to take mine because he found them useful for other household tasks. If you're just getting started or are undecided, GO FOR IT! You won't need to thank me because you'll adore them just as much as I do. They make things a lot easier for you! As evidenced, I would purchase them again and again. My first pair was fine, but I needed a replacement. I'll use it when I have guests. It's too difficult to share them with others. Take a look at my previous collection:.

PERFECT spring design and a solid, parallel grip
5/5

These pliers are a little more expensive than the others in this category, but they are well worth the money. Each side of the tip is reinforced with meaty steel, giving them a firm grip and the ability to withstand more pressure than the others. From the tip down to the hinge, the alignment on both sides is perfect and parallel. which is ideal for working with electronics. The handles aren't made of the Nurf-style material. They're a type of hybrid rubber that's very solid but also has texture. However, you can easily see how they would never dry out, become brittle, and fall off if they got wet. br>br>After the nice parallel bite, I think the spring design is my favorite feature. The loop style isn't the one that always falls off the hinge or gets tweaked and pried off the tool. It's a single, very solid piece of metal that runs the length of the handle, and I believe they attached it to the metal handle first, then poured the grip onto the handle after the spring was installed, because the rubber formed around the spring. br>br>Having a spring that doesn't fall out like so many others was a must for me, and I believe this is the best design I've ever seen in this price range. br>br>With these babies, you simply can't go wrong!.

This tool comes highly recommended! I bought this tool after seeing it in action online, and I went with the serated edge option
5/5

(There's also a version with a smoother nose. ) ) I'm glad I did because it does a great job of gripping the wire while doing wire work in jewelry making and doesn't appear to damage the wire so far. (Be careful. ) Excellent value for money and excellent quality. I've also used it to remove staples from documents in order to preserve my manicure, and it's been extremely useful. This tool comes highly recommended!.

A broken mini RCA plug can be removed from a mini RCA jack with this tiny tool
5/5

I needed to replace a broken headphone plug in an iPad's headphone jack. I didn't have any small pliers and couldn't find any at Menards, so I ordered this one, which worked perfectly. As a result, this pair of pliers is small enough to remove a broken Mini RCA plug from a Mini RCA jack.
