The clamps can be removed easily with these pliers. These are something I use on a daily basis! Simply twist the clamp's ear part with the sharp edge of the plier, and it will break off!
The "secondary" jaw performs the same function as the "primary" jaw. It's only there to help you reach clamps where you don't have enough room to use the primary. br>Because the tool does not have to be completely closed to tighten an Oetiker clamp, a small gap will not affect its performance. I believe the chasm exists to prevent over-production. tightening (in a cramped space, you'll have to use the side clamp, which reduces visibility)
Because the ears are all the same size, it should work on anyone of any size.
Correct; while I think this is a well-made tool, it doesn't appear to be necessary in your case.

These crimpers are a little more expensive than the standard $12 crimpers available on the market. They cost $15, but they're well worth it. They appear to be of excellent quality, and the crimping edge on the side is especially useful in confined or tight spaces. If I had used standard crimpers without the side edge, I don't think I could have finished the job without disassembling the engine housing further. These things are fantastic, and you will only be disappointed if you buy the less expensive standard models that lack the side crimping capability, which saves you time and frustration! I am very pleased with my purchase.
because I purchased these clamp pliers prior to attempting it! These were purchased to replace my tie rod boots, and they were incredibly simple to install. if you're debating between getting the front and side version or just the front style; get in front of the line It's wide enough to clamp the entire width of boots from the side, which is ideal if you don't want to crawl underneath the car or if there's no access to the clamp from underneath and you need to clamp the boot from the side.
They were able to complete 20 tasks in a short amount of time. 14 mm and 23 mm 17mm 2- Ear crimp clamps are a type of ear crimp that is used to secure the The 20- The 23mm clamp on the garden hose was slightly more difficult to use than the 14mm clamp. 17mm, with two hands braced on my thigh to support the second ear. br>br>When you first get your pliers, you may notice the following: The side jaw's edges do not meet in the middle. This is how it goes: I designed it based on photos from the KCTool website, which I've attached. The gap to which I'm referring is indicated by a red arrow. br>br>I crimped with both the front and side jaws, and they both crimped successfully. Because the edges of the front jaw meet, you might expect it to cut. They didn't work for me, but that was because I used "crimping force" rather than "cutting force. I don't usually write reviews, but these pliers caught my eye and I thought I'd share my thoughts. To begin with, being able to purchase knipex brand pliers of any kind at this price is pretty incredible; they're just like any other knipex tool you'd use, are of excellent quality, and appear to be able to withstand a lot of abuse. br>br>However, in some situations, they have a flaw. Unless you have extremely strong hands, installing large cv boots with larger clamps (in my experience, the outboard boots on my 13 Tacoma) lacks the leverage to be as effective. On larger oem cv boot clamps (usually the outboard joints found on trucks and suvs), I have to use a separate set of slip joint pliers to start the initial squeeze; however, these pliers have no problem with cheaper chinese clamps or smaller oem quality clamps. It's a good point to remember. I'd like a few more inches of length to gain a little more leverage, though it would make the pliers a little clumsier to use. br>br>However, because these pliers are reasonably priced, I continue to give them a high rating. If you're going to use these on a heavier-duty application, be aware of the potential drawbacks. If all you do is work on cars, these are probably ideal.
Ear clamps are the way to go when it comes to a good fit and an OEM look on any clamped pipes. You can get by with a pair of pliers in a pinch, but these are the best option for a perfect fit. The teeth are spaced just far enough apart to prevent you from cutting all the way through the clamp. These have a set of teeth on the side that are extremely useful in tight spaces. I would definitely buy from them again.
I was under the impression that I could get away with using tongue-in-cheek. and-groove pliers, also known as water pump pliers, adjustable pliers, groove-cutting pliers, and groove-cutting pliers—are a type of plier that has two grooves on one side and arc-shaped joint pliers Multi-joint pliers Grips, spanners for taps and pipes, gland pliers, and Channellocks (i. e. , Channellock brand pliers), but with oetiker clamps style clamps, I was able to achieve the correct sharp pinch. For accessibility in confined spaces, I prefer the front and side pinch models.
These are far superior to other crimpers/clamp pliers that have a strange sliding pivot point. They made it possible for me to crimp the "ear style" CV joint clamps that I had been fighting with. I wish they were a little longer so that I could get more leverage out of them. On larger CV clamps, crimping down to the last millimeter can be difficult. Because of this, I docked one star for adaptability. They did a great job, and I'm very pleased with how well they worked in comparison to my previous set. Would recommend; it's not worth scrounging for a cheap set to save a few dollars!.
Excellent sherman tool, well-made and durable. I'm using it for irrigation tubing with single ear clamps and it's great. You can clamp the ear without breaking it, which is what my pex tool did. I'm not sure I'd use it for pex, but it's unbeatable for standard hose clamping. The side clamp is an excellent idea that actually works. I'd recommend this high quality German made tool 100% it's not cheap China made junk, it is a high quality tool.
