Questions & Answers

What is the difference between a standard grip, a static control grip, and a serrated static control grip?

Jaws are smooth in the standard model. On the Handle, there is an ESD-safe material called Static Control. Serrated Static Control has a serrated jaw and an ESD-safe handle.

What is the width of the tip?

At the very tip, it is about 1mm long. I've found the tiniest needle nose pliers I've ever seen.

What is Tool Magic and what does it mean?

Tool magic is a liquid rubber coating that can be used to coat tool grips or to cushion the tips of pliers so they don't marr soft metals.

What is the thickness (depth) and width of the pliers' tips?

On the tips of the pliers, they're about a sixteenth of an inch thick and wide. They have very fine tips, which are ideal for getting into tight spaces, such as when undoing a knot in pearl knotting. They're ideal for storing jump rings and other small items. They're fantastic, and I adore them! I hope this information was useful to you.

Selected User Reviews For Pliers - Xuron Tweezer Nose 450

I tried
3/5

I made an attempt to purchase something from the United States. However, I consider the Xuron lineup to be a failure, and here's why:
- My hand keeps sliding towards the pivot because the blue grips are velvety slick and lack swell or contouring.
- Straight springs are used to open the door. The edge of the cut digs into the opposing handle, scraping the paint off and leaving a gritty residue.
- Jaws open far too wide. (both obnoxious and clumsy)br> All of the pivots were slathered in oil when they arrived. I also purchased the Hakko CHPs, which are made in Italy.
- The red grip material wraps around your back and has a swell that allows you to pinch or hold it in any position you want. br>- The spring that opens the door is curved, does not dig into the surface, and is butter smooth.
- The jaws can open just the right amount thanks to the pivot.
- The pivot is quiet and free of oil splatters. br>br>Both have the same metal quality and tips, as well as the same alignment, fit, and finish. br>br>Purchasing Hakko CHPs is a simple process.

Such incredible potential, squandered due to a disastrous design change
3/5

Wow, they blew it by adding a new style (garbage) soft return spring to an otherwise excellent product. Please, Xuron, return to that thicker, stronger spring instead of this new style thin spring. Because the springs are so soft, they tend to fall out when I hold them partially compressed in my hand. Worse yet, there is no compression. When you squeeze it, it goes from soft to even softer. This is a bad example of tactile feedback. Tweezers are a type of tweezer that is used to remove tweezers from Because you're using it for delicate tasks, you need it to provide enough force to stay inside your hand; you don't grip it like a cutter; instead, you balance it inside your palm. br>br>I swapped the spring from an older Xuron needle nose plier set into these, and they quickly became my favorite. If that's how they arrived, they'd get five stars. Unfortunately, that new style spring is also present in other Xuron pliers that were recently purchased. Yuck.

A fantastic wire-weaving tool of exceptional quality
5/5

Wire wrapping tool of the highest quality! This is a well-made product that is strong enough to bend the 20ga Dead Soft wire used on the wrap in the photo, but purchased to use on the 30ga Wire. They grip fine wire easily, making tasks in small spaces a breeze. This tool will make Wire Weaving so much easier that I'll be sure to purchase another pair just in case! I could bend the 20ga, but I already had other tools for that size and wanted to put them to the test. These arrived quickly and were well-packaged to avoid damage. I'm thrilled to have this as part of my wire-wrapping arsenal.

Many projects that require the use of wires will benefit from this tool
5/5

These tweezer pliers are very useful. I use them to make wire hangers and curly Qs for stained glass panels and frames, as well as wire (jewelry) projects. The handles are comfortable and have a coating that makes them easy to grip, and the slender nose makes it easier to get into places where a standard needle nose would be too bulky.

Upgrade
4/5

I began making jewelry out of recycled materials. pliers with a chain nose that were terrible. Wire-wrapped earrings with silver-plated findings are my specialty. My old chain nose pliers and plated wire didn't quite lose all the way, and they were far too big for my small projects. I hardly ever used them and instead rely on my bento box. Rather, nost. Following the purchase of some amazing Xuron maxi-dresses, I decided to give Xuron's chain nose a try after using their shear flush cutters, which gave me a lot of bang for my buck. These pliers are extremely small and allow me to enter small spaces. They're easy to use, and unlike my Bead Landing chain nose, which I'm either donating or tossing in the trash, they close completely. Because these chain nose pliers are so light, it takes a lot of pressure to hold my work down when I'm twisting wire together, which is a shame because my wire was scratched and I had to restart a project (this was with 20g), but for smaller gauges (24 and above), these little pliers are a godsend. I'm very pleased with them for the price, and I'm confident that I'll be able to use them for a long time; it's difficult to find chain nose pliers with good reviews that are less than $40. The cost is $60. I'm very pleased with my purchase; they perform exactly as expected. For larger gauge wires, I think I'll need to get some more heavy-duty chain nose pliers. In the future, I will undoubtedly purchase from Xuron Pliers. They're both affordable and efficient.

These are very delicate pliers meant for working with small gauge wire and do an excellent job
4/5

The reason they don't get five stars is that the jaws have quite sharp ridges on the sides and, despite my best efforts, easily mark any metal they grip. I've used them with 18g wire a few times for specific applications, but they shouldn't be used with wire gauges larger than 20g in general. They're great for 22g and smaller, though the jaws' edges are extremely sharp, so use caution. br>br>I'll probably wrap these in masking tape at some point to soften the sharp jaw edge. Overall, these pliers are excellent for working with delicate jewelry.

Is it strange that I'm so enthralled by pliers? These have been in my possession for a few months
5/5

They come in handy on a regular basis. DAY. On a daily basis, I bead to unwind at night, whether I'm doing wirework, fiddling with ear wires for beaded earrings, or fiddling with a clasp for something. It makes no difference. This is the first pair of pliers I grab. The two surfaces are perfectly aligned; they appear to be fragile or bendable, but they are of high quality. They're not going anywhere, and the teeny beaks allow you to reach around and through obstacles that would normally be difficult to reach. I'm going to get another pair because I really like them. Who knew?.
