Emiliana Serbatoi Carrytank 58 Gallon Portable Diesel Container with Electric Pump

This is an excerpt from a review I wrote for Green Tractor Talk. Because they still have some tanks boxed without lids, the tank arrived first, followed by the lid. This thing is incredible; it was a joy to insert the nozzle into the fuel fill on my John Deere 4720 tractor and pull the lever. There are no jugs to deal with, and there is no pump to turn manually. The components are of good quality; it's simply a fantastic package (which I expected at $800). ) I purchased a 35 amp-hour generator. It's a 12-hour AGM battery from Amazon that should last for several fillups before needing to be recharged. It's self-contained due to the AGM chemistry. There is a very low discharge rate. There are only two minor issues. br>br> I suppose it's not so much a problem as it is an irritant. The tank still had about 3/4" of water inside it, indicating that the manufacturer tested it with water, which is a good thing. But it took me about 30 minutes to drop shop towels in and then fish them out with a grabber to soak up the water. Then I ran compressed air through it for a few minutes to dry the water out completely. I discharged some diesel to clear water from the pump and hose before filling up my tractor. br>br>The other minor annoyance is that the diesel foams up quite a bit, owing to the pump's design - I'm not sure what I'm saying. However, this isn't a major issue. Oh, and the pump is self-priming and has a decent flow rate, as well as a reliable nozzle shutoff. br>br>The tank capacity is advertised as 55 gallons, but I only filled it halfway, leaving room for more diesel but not wanting to fill it all the way.

I looked for a larger diesel fuel tank for a long time before finding this Emiliana unit. Before buying it, I probably stared at it for two weeks, unsure if it was too good to be true. I had a couple of questions after I placed my order, and Emiliana Serbatoi was quick to respond. FedEx delivered the unit in perfect working order. When I first took it out of the box, I was blown away by the quality of the plastics as well as the included hardware. br>br>I loaded it into the back of the truck and drove to the gas station to get diesel. No spills, drips, or issues in the diesel, and it traveled 3 miles home in the back of the truck with no spills, drips, or issues. Got the tractor out and forked it right off the truck into the shed with no spills, drips, or issues. br>br>Now for the BEST part. br>br>Hooked up the battery and put the nozzle into the tank, turned the unit on, and quickly filled the tank! Again, there were no spills, drips, or issues, and you know that having a government-approved no spill can that takes 5 minutes or more to empty is a pain in the neck. With this unit, you won't have to strain your back trying to fill that stupid government-approved gas can! br>br>Here's the deal: if you're constantly hauling 5 gallon cans back and forth from the gas station, this portable fuel tank is for you. It's simply incredible. I'm so impressed that I'm thinking of getting one for regular gas as well. Emiliana Serbatoi, thank you. br>br>.

This pump was purchased in December. It worked fine for the first six months, but then the fuel pump failed. A 18-month warranty is included with the item. For the past two weeks, I have been attempting to contact Emiliana Serbatoi in both the United States and Italy in order to resolve the issue but have been unable to do so.

It makes life so much easier! On my property, I have three tractors and a dozer; I don't fill them every day, but it makes things so much easier. No more attempting to use 5 gallon fuel cans from the tops of my tractors. I can lift it out of my truck with forks on my tractor loader and move it empty into my pickup truck. Then I can drive to the gas station and fill it up with diesel. In a matter of minutes, I connect the power leads to my truck or tractor and fill up all of my vehicles. I believe the pump rate is 10 gallons per minute, and it shuts off when the tank is full. I know it's pricey, but it truly makes life simpler and easier. It's a well-made product that I would strongly recommend. There is a lid included.

  This diesel fuel storage tank is extremely versatile. I was debating whether I should get a regular truck or a pickup truck. This system was chosen over a bed storage tank and pump for a number of reasons: 1. br>br> I don't want to drive around with 500 pounds of fuel in my bed all of the time because my mileage would suffer, and the sloshing of fuel is a little annoying because it shakes the truck. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br Because it is not easily punctured and does not dent, polyethylene is far more durable than aluminum or steel. It is also scratch-resistant and free of sharp edges. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. The shape of this unit is ideal for use in the truck bed or in the workshop. It will go where you want it to go. br>br>With the pallet fork cutouts, moving this from my barn to the bed of my truck with my tractor loader is a breeze. The included pump is easy to use and quickly fills the bottle. It does produce a lot of foam, but that isn't a problem until you get close to the end. I purchased a small AGM battery (Weize YTX20L-1) to use as a backup. BS) for $53, and it's the perfect size for my needs—it fits easily into my toolbox. br>br>I also suggest investing in a fuel filter that separates water from the fuel. Due to the lack of filtration in this tank, any debris or water may enter your equipment. A Goldenrod 496 was purchased by me. 3/4, and I attached the filter with two stainless steel 34 male NPT to 588 hose barb fittings and hose clamps. br>br>Summary: br>br> If you don't need full-time fuel storage in your truck and just want to move it in and out of the bed, this is a great option. It's also ideal for those who simply want to buy diesel in bulk and transport it from the gas station to their business. It's also a much better way to fuel your equipment if you have anything with a tank larger than 10 gallons; it saves you a lot of time and aggravation.
