DZ97960 I put this on my 2016 GMC 3500 Diesel and it worked great. They have a confirmed fit with Amazon. Simply enter your truck's make and model, and it will determine whether or not it will fit.
According to the breakdown on the manufacturer's website, that component is referred to as the "Fill line adapter."
Yes, I recommend YouTubeing it as long as the TEE fits your filler tube. Every year, the process of installation is the same.
It's perfect for my 2014 Dodge 5500; I'm not sure if the neck is the same on the 3500, but it should be.

This was installed in the truck bed tank of a DEE ZEE 40g. I followed the instructions to the letter and installed it according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Fuel from the aux tank can flow into the factory tank thanks to the clever design. It does so by filling the factory tank to the top and allowing gravity to force fuel out of every vent tube and breathing orifice available. br>DO NOT OPEN YOUR FACTORY GAS CAP UNTIL THE FUEL LEVEL HAS GONE BELOW THE NECK, OR YOU WILL MOST LIKELY BE IN FOR A NICE SURPRISE! br>br>Bad design with no indication of the issue. br>I'm thinking about installing one of those hideous-looking fuel transfer pumps and nozzles. br>Knowing the flaws, I would never have done this. br>WARNING: THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS APPLICATION.
Everything was in good working order, with plenty of hose and the proper sizes. The only problem I've noticed is that when the valve is screwed into the fuel tank, it bottoms out around the time the valve handle hits the bung. The valve handle was filed down a little with a file, and it no longer binds. To make the installation process easier, Dee Zee should include a short nipple. I have yet to fill the tank with gas to see if the check valve is working properly.
It's not difficult to set up. I'm not sure why they didn't include a grommet for the metal-to-metal passthrough, which is required for all installations. Apart from that, everything is in place. For the first time, I tried it today. It appears to be draining at a snail's pace. If you're on the road, you'll waste a lot of time waiting for a rest stop to fill your tank. Maybe you're supposed to keep the valve open while driving. It doesn't say anything about that in the operating instructions. I'm not sure I'd purchase it again. I have yet to use it on a trip. If the drainage improves while traveling, I'll update my review, but for now, the drainage stinks.
It has spilled several times and will not stop an overflow condition. I would not purchase it again because there are other models available that will prevent an overflow. Please keep in mind that this model does not have this feature. The fit is good and will work, but to avoid overflows, you must pay close attention to the filling rate and quantity!.
There are no complaints about how well it works.
Connecting to an F250 is a real pain. The gravity feed function is completely ineffective because the 3/8 hole is far too small for a proper gravity feed. I did install a universal fuel pump, which now functions perfectly. The three stars are due to the fact that it works well with the pump but not so well without it. When I get a new truck, I'll buy it again, but this time I'll also get the pump and fittings.
I couldn't find out if this would fit my 2020 Duramax, but it did, and it worked fine. It seems a little pricey for what you get. Cutting fuel lines on a brand new truck and drilling holes in the bed on a fairly simple installation makes me a little nervous. Everything went off without a hitch.
It's a pretty simple process to set up. If you want a filter and a meter, you'll need some extra pipe. One thing I didn't like about it was that there was no easy way to secure it. If your truck is powered by a direct battery feed, you should never leave it unattended.
