What can this instrument be used for? Can it be used to monitor a car's windshield for water leaks?

far as I understand, this product is only intended to check for leaks caused by air pressure. It is hard to tell if having it could be used to identify leaks in the water system.

The dye looks like a powder, but is it UV dye?

neither one nor the other. After purchasing it in the hope it was a powder, I discovered that was not the case.

Is it possible to find a hose vacuum leak on your car with this method?

I'm not doing that! There is a need to lose air out of the hose when there is a pressure leak. WD 40 works sometimes to fix vacuum leaks due to the fact that it increases the engine's speed as it burns the WD 40.

What can be done with this to pinpoint a leak in my car's evap system?

The definition of an EVA system is a bit confusing. My guess is that it wouldn't work if you meant air conditioning system. UV light can show the presence of additives when they leak. It would be much better for them

In this can you will find Glass Cleaner

You can clean windows with this stuff, it smells like glass cleaner, it looks like glass cleaner, and it cleans like glass cleaner! You are buying windex in an aerosol can for a very high price if you purchase this.

We believe you'll like it if you try it! As one of the lead technicians on PCP Air Rifles, I have needed to detect leaks and using a product like that found in Scandinavia at the FX factory, I have tried to find in the USA

A mechanical leak detector is required, but the manufacturer is not able to supply it to the United States. If it works as well as it should or even better, then you can get it here. You should give it a try, it works!.
